Hi Guys this is fantastic a big well done - I have put this song up a couple of months ago and after hearing your version I am ashamed of mine now - top marks to you both -- Dave
Great job guys. I'd rather listen to musicians like yourselves at a local musical festival or barn dance than CMT or the radio any day. Keep playing and please teach your kids and grandkids to play and sing.
Eddie Arnold recorded that song a few times before having a hit with it. In looking up the info for the song to put in the comments of my version, I found it was written in 1934 I think, by Tex Owens, but Mr. Arnold's mid-fifties version is the definitive one, so I agree with you when you call it a song from the fifties. I'm glad he was so persistent about recording it...
...because that means I get to hear folks like you do it now.
He still hit those notes ... quite amazing - a legend that will be missed... thanks Mom and Dad for teaching me to love more than just well you know ....
I'm sitting here smiling. That was so good.

It takes balls to even attempt that yodel, but he pulls it off and it sounds amazing. Won't be hearing this song on American Idol.

Is the man singing in this video is the real Eddy Arnold, how old was he when he sang in this video?
If he really is, this is what I want to see the most about him.
Thanks,
