Songs with a catchy rythm, simple riffs and more clean vocals. That's why it is said new Darkthrone is more punkish than than they used to be in the (dark) past.

@xyqk All bm bands have clean vocals in some of their songs so that's not a reason for not buying a cd or just stop listening to them. I won't say that this is their best cd, because their 3 previous with crust-punk influences were obviously better. But saying that this is going too far is not right, because they are mucisians and true musicians don't give a f** about what people could say, they just enjoy their music.

@AgiosDiavolos its not only the vocals ofcourse..but the whole sound..its sounds a little to happy..you cant compare this to albums like plaguewielder or ravishing grimness ..its the whole package..on the other alubms i feel agriveness and a dark feeling...i think this album have that not..numbers on the foad album like wisdom of the dead or splitkein fever have the black metal feeling so to speak..and on dark thrones and black flag you had numbers to..but this album lacks that sort of tracks
