I've been playing this game for about 2 days now and i have to say that i like it alot. Understand that Serious Sam is an indie title, but its an indie title that has the bells and whistles of a triple A title. If compared to something like Bulletstorm, then yeah, its behind. But if you take it for what it is, which is an arcade FPS in the vain of a "time splitters" game or "Left 4 dead," then i highly recommend this game. Serious Same 3 is what Duke nukem forever should have been.

I wish the setting wasn't so fucking boring and realistic. Why do so many games today have to look so realistic and put themselves in similar, modern day settings? I miss the older Serious Sam games with crazy settings and creative level design. I think there's a lot they could do with this, but this footage just looks... Boring and less frantic than the past Serious Sam games. I'm disappointed by what I see here.

@baker500877 okay so, this big evil... alien thing called "Mental" invades earth in the 22nd century (where this game is set) so they decide to send someone back in time to beat Mental and change history (First encounter) but Mental finds out and sends his army back in time too to stop him... it doesn't work... Sam ends up getting a space ship to fly to Mental's planet but the ship accidentally crash lands so Sam must fight through more enemies (Second encounter) and i haven't played the 2nd one
@hewtoi In SS2 Sam is recruited by weird team of nerdy aliens to find 5 parts of medallion which disables a forcefield protecting the mental's planet and finally he gets to that planet and destroys him. Mental is in form of a huge pyramid or something... Don't actually remember that much

@baker500877 okay so, this big evil... alien thing called "Mental" invades earth in the 22nd century (where this game is set) so they decide to send someone back in time to beat Mental and change history (First encounter) but Mental finds out and sends his army back in time too to stop him... it doesn't work... Sam ends up getting a space ship to fly to Mental's planet but the ship accidentally crash lands so Sam must fight through more enemies (Second encounter) and i haven't played the 2nd one

@hewtoi In SS2 Sam is recruited by weird team of nerdy aliens to find 5 parts of medallion which disables a forcefield protecting the mental's planet and finally he gets to that planet and destroys him. Mental is in form of a huge pyramid or something... Don't actually remember that much

@ShadowTH555 I wasn't applying that just for you. What i was saying is that everyone seems to get really annoying on these comments (as i was myself) But the standard of all FPS games nowadays is cover regenerating health and all the other bs. As for myself i have BFBC2 and i think its ok, but i've grown up with this franchise and i don't want to see it ruined by the same mistakes that happened to Duke Nukem forever. This is the purest form of a FPS just like CS until global offensive...
