I fell in love with Vancouver in 1986 and returned regularly from 1998-2009. The nose the skytrain makes is still a welcoming sound to me for some reason.
They start the sea bus 1977,the sky train start (expo line) at 1985,Sky train mellemume line was 2002,West Coast Express was 1995,Canada line was 2009,
The Vancouver SkyTrain is so awesome and really important for the city of Vancouver. I hope you Vancouverites can appreciate it! Building that Canada Line from the Airport to the Waterfront Station really brought Vancity to the 21th century and makes traveling for us tourists so much easier. :)
Wow... It's awesome when they let real writers and film makers do stuff like this. These days it's usually left to inept P.R. hacks trying to convey some lame "message". This is an entertaining, informative and absolutely capitvating snapshot of Vancouver's transit history. It's worth your time to Google the names of the people mentioned in the credits... Props to them!

It makes me kind of said all the optomism and everything knowing what was to come. Some places it made worse.

I love the skytrain, but it is kind of upsetting being reminded that it is as old as I am!

@Atanith99 And don't forget the Evergreen Line and the Expo and Melinium Line expansions.

Sometimes I love it when I catch an old expo skytrain even though it's not quite as comfy as the new grey ones. Just because it's vintage.

it was quite smart to cut all the parts when a train completely stops
brakes on mk I trains must have always been squeaky, this noise would ruin the magic
