I was just talking with a friend about how one of Tracey's songs took us way back...and I just happened to look her up again and found this song. WOW! This just takes my breath away...Perfectly captured the fear and sadness that encompasses the topic. Every time it happens, it spooks the whole herd. Everyone around them examining their own relationships and hating to see a pair part. Such a powerful, emotionally invested song on so many levels.

SONG FACT: Tracey wrote the 'Oh The Divorces' after hearing about Katie & Peter's messy public break up. Tracey has been a huge fan of the Mysterious Girl singer since first hearing his song 'Funky Junky' back in the early 90's. It's rumoured that Tracey and partner Ben are writing songs for Peter's next album and are hoping to tour with him in 2011.

Tracey gets (due) respect as a singer but her strengths as a songwriter sometimes seem overlooked. This song & hopefully the new LP record will cement her status as one of the best British songwriters of her generation.

You only need to look back thru Youtube to see both some wonderful performances & some beautiful songs.

Furthermore - how many of us look better now than we did in the mid 80s??? Amazing all round performer.
