  • You speak Cantonese so well, I totally forgot you could speak English =).

  • I FOUND you, finally. You are in so many series I love, but so briefly that your name is seldom on the cast list. Just the long process of searching for your name made me think, "Oh, how under appreciated he is!" It's so great to see these comments that share our love for you. Out of all the non-asian actors cast in TVB series, you are the most natural. To say your Cantonese is the very best doesn't even begin to describe it! I hope you will further the success you deserve.

  • @ryoki999 thank you, thank you, thank you :-)

  • Hey Ho Kwok Wing I grew up watching your shows! Your an icon! Thanks for all the great memories! :)

  • I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCHHHH GREGORY.......I HOPE ONE DAY I GONNA BE LIKE YOU VERY MUCH...........我的偶像

  • @acti73nucleon blush blink blink... :-)

  • greg I found it ;) I rmb the name wrong. It shd be the world of suzie wong...I can't put the website in the cm box, the title of the clip on YT is "Nancy Kwan - Cloud Song(World of Suzie Wong)"

  • Hello, Gregory. I want to tell you that I will be using your video clip in my paper arguing about American stereotypes on Asian Americans in films and Asians having similar stereotypes with Americans in films.

    Thank you!

  • @x3TheBand93 :-)

  • Is this a tribute to 西貢小姐?

  • @JOS1991727 西貢小姐?怎麼樣?

  • @HoKwokWing There is a scene similar to this in 西貢小姐, which the actress sit on the bed and posing for the american soldier whom she fell in love with to sketch her. sorry I can't find any of the clip, but the dialect, screen selecting, even the tone colour of the scene are almost the same. I guess this is the little idea of the scriptwriter and the director ;)

  • miss you so much =]

  • I MISS YOU SO MUCH GREGORY! 我自細便睇你的劇集,you are natural, you are talented, how r you now? it's 2011, i miss you, i know you wouldn't go back to TVB, but please get us updated of how u are, you are always the best 鬼佬 actor of all time hahaha

    Greetings from Malaysia!

  • TheMoebiusStrip, I absolutely do age. I'm a lot older now. LOL.

  • Dude, don't you ever age? Hot damn. You began acting before I was born and you're still a sexy beast.

I'm not sure about availability in Malaysia, but it will be available in both digital and physical form from my web site. My site is being redesigned. It's almost ready to be opened up again to the public. Stay well.

  • He speaks perfect Cantonese, and has an English accent when he's speaking English. Awesome.

  • Greg, good luck brother! I love watching all your TVB series. Stay positive ;)

  • All i did remember was when everytime that drama have your acting, i always look for your name at the actor list of ending credit. :)

  • oh man, i know u've heard this thousands of times, but i've been watching ur shows since i was little! =) from Malaysia.

  • @Clement8617 yes. I hear that often. I acted at TVB for exactly 20 years, so a lot of people grew up watching me on TV :-)

  • I am Chinese but raised in Canada and your Cantonese is far better than mine! Your ping yum is still a little off but your vocabulary and command of the language is much more comprehensive than many actual Chinese raised abroad. Good luck in your future endeavors! You may be stereotyped but that is because you occupy a very unique niche and have a very rare and valuable talent when Cantonese is beginning to become marginalized in comparison to Mandarin in the world.

  • @SNK038 you are correct. my tones (音調) are sometimes a little off. I wish my tones were perfect but Cantonese is a very difficult language to master :-)

  • @HoKwokWing you are so wonderful you are my idol now :-) go confidently to the direction of your dream live a life you have dreamed for! always support ;-)

  • i have watched you my whole life, i love everything you do and i wish you the best in your future :)

  • Greg, I hope you strike it big soon! We all know how bad Dragonball Evolution was...

  • @icyrazor :-)

  • he looks old but I still remember him as young, haha. Anyway, how could he not have opportunities? He's so cool. :)

  • Hey I watched you growing up and I was born in Canada I loved you :) When ever I saw you i was like OMG! Good luck! Oh and you speak better Cantonese then me mandarin too (mandarins such a hard language to learn).

  • true I watched him to performance on TVB since I was a kid

  • sweet! I found you!! xD

    Keep up the great work!

  • Mr. Rivers, believe it or not you are one of my favourite actors. Please don't give up on acting. You have become an icon in the HK entertainment industry, keep up the good work man, we have always considered you one of us.

  • Oh my god, this is my first time I ever hear he speaks English~~~

  • "I'm always the priest"

I was laughing my ass off. Respect though.

  • Sometimes he looks like Liam Nelsson : )

  • so weird to hear him speak in english lol

  • He speaks better than me lol

  • the reason you are so good and natural is because you are a people person. You are one of us. That is why are you popular. Good luck.

  • Yo, this is awesome, I've just discovered you, and you should be able to get so many roles because what you present is so unique!

  • ur an inspiration....u should act in hollywood! they should attempt to give u a bigger role in tvb--maybe even a lead role-i mean...u could play something that resembles your life....like an actor trying to break through stereotypes

  • omg, his English cool!

  • And he speaks Mandarin as well!!!

    Way to go dude!

  • @djonutube

His mandarin does have a really hard Cantonese accent though... But that's still a lot better than an English accent :D

  • @JonnyNice A Taiwanese actor once laughed as he told me it was the first time he had heard a Caucasian speaking Mandarin with a Cantonese accent!!! LOL!

  • Gregory, cheers from Malaysia! You have never failed to impress the Chinese community in Malaysia with your "native" Cantonese language.

  • 佢做差人 真係有差個個格係度=﹏=

  • I just want to say that I appreciate your work. I've been watching hong kong films since I was little. I do recognize you and always wondered about the roles you play because I agree it is hard for you to advance in roles because of stereotypes and if you believe that breaking into the hollywood market is the best way then I'll wish you the best. I hope that your future is filled with great success and I also hope that you will keep your interests with hk media because I would still like to...

  • Cool. Unbelievable. You studied medicine degree in Sydney but you migrate to Hong Kong. The opposite. Many Hong Kong students study in Australia and they want to migrate to Australia. What a big different. You never give up for your acting career. Really appreciate you.

  • wowz...this shows more of an insight to me since i'm an Andy Lau fan. You did do a video with him once about heros. i dont know if you remember. =-D....

  • great showreel! i really miss watching you on TVB but wishing you the best of luck and looking forward to seeing you on screen again!!

  • At least you were not Indian or African, talk about racism in Hong Kong. My fiancee and her mum alway give me crap about you as we are both Australian. Anyway good luck with your new career.

  • 喬寶寶 Q Bobo has done a lot for the image of the local Indian population. He's talented, funny, extremely intelligent and a very nice guy to boot. People like him, a lot.

    Attitudes are changing, slowly.

  • @HoKwokWing you are such wonderful person. Bless you. From Malaysia =)

  • @HoKwokWing and now there's another talented Indian performing for Hong Kong people. Vivek! a very cool dude.
