I'm one of the biggest Elvis fans in the world, but I have to say that this scene in this movie (and the movie in general) really made Ann Margaret stand out. I don't know if you could say that she overshadowed Elvis, but the Colonel was right in worrying about Ann taking the spotlight away (this scene especially in my opinion).
