  • 1:58 foreshadowing ;)

  • head is a comedian at 7:51 lol SO funny!

  • Whoa! Look at that pedal board for Munky!!!

  • Head is so laid back - that's the mark of a good, down to earth guitarist. Truth is this, when he was in KoRn, they were better than they are now...

  • dude like its like the interviewer doesnt care who hes talking too he just wants to know what they use to play all their pedals and crap like do u know who ur talking to? ur talking Head!

  • @deadpinez yeah talking to a musician about... music. its insane huh!

  • 7:45

  • "oh God! Please help me sick!" I busted a gut laughing.

  • korns style of metal was not made for guitar solos a guitar solo would not fit and i'm not a big fan of guitar solos sometimes they annoy me

  • @slipknot789able dude you're awesome I totally agree! but we are in a minority =-(

  • @roh00002 you're right about that

  • Head used to play for KoRn, then he took an arrow to the knee...

  • nice vid.. it good to see someone go into depth about there gear..however why is this guy asking about munkey and korn so freaking much..kinda sounds like a noob to the guitar as well lol

  • Munky and Head belong with each other, munkys weird eerie noises, and Heads often heavier taste sound amazing, but oh well... i dont think well ever see that again :(

  • @Chavez8697

Keep the faith, no one ever thought Wes would return to Bizkit for a second time, after leaving twice and guess what? he did and every die hard fan who never got to see Bizkit live with Wes, has had plenty of chances to. I truly believe we'll get that chance with Brian and Korn.

  • Looks like I'm not the only one who hated the overelaboration of solos in 80's music, what's the points of 5 minute solos in the middle of every song?

  • Whats the song at 2:34? anybody plz tell me

  • @chrisjallen92 its "Wake Up" from the KoRn album "Issues"

  • why is the other guy even there? haha

  • I'll take KoRn guitar work over formulaic, drone/systematic soloing any day of the week.

  • This is a great interview. people never really get in depth with gear.

  • @18266609 I KNOW WHAT YOUR SAYING, I WISH ALL BANDS WOULD DO LIKE A WHOLE FEATURE LENGTH VID ABOUT EVERYTHING THEY USE AND HAVE USED IN THE PAST, WOULD BE COOL...

  • @MDSphinx Yeah I know. Most bands on their gear tours and all are very bland about what they use or how they use it. I like how the dude interviewing head was a guitarist himself and actually asked him question regarding the xp 100. Korn uses a ton of fx. i would love to know some of their settings.

  • @18266609 thnx man

  • @Lupi2 no problem. keep up the good work!

  • Love to see that Head hasn't lost his sense of humor

  • it's good that he doesn't get annoyed with people always mentioning Korn all the time because if I had left a band on a negative note I'd be pretty pissed if people kept on mentioning the band all the time

  • @TrueIDIOTproductions why would he get mad!? he played in korn for 14 years, it's a HUGE part of his story...your not gonna stay in a band for 14 years if you don't truly love it! it's obvious watching this clip here on youtube that head is happy now and doesnt regret his days with korn!

  • I miss so much the 80s!! and i was born in 1991...

  • @gizmouille Uhm Korn started rocking in 1994.

  • @MrAssassinful wasn't it 1992?I thought there first demo was released in 1992...They have shows on here from 1993 search korn 1993!

  • @gummoboy333 Their first album was released in 1994. Of course they did shows in 1993, but they weren't so famous. That's why I said that they started "rocking" in 1994.

  • @MrAssassinful Yeah and you are absolutely right, they even have shirts that say "korn Established in 1994"on them, But gotta give respect to Sexart and L.A.P.D cause thats where the korn guys evolved from and they started around 1992 I believe

  • he HAS to play back with KoRn, and so does david silvera!! Ray luzier is good, but he doesn't have the "KoRn" felling!!

  • @Lupi2 you did a great job, and I just said you were weird cause you asked alot of random questions about korn and different guitar effects thats really cool though, I really want that whammy pedal of yours thats very nice!

  • @gummoboy333 alrite, cause i edited out a shitload of bullshit already. yeah i basically approached him like it was still 2003 or so and asked the shit im interested in. check ebay for that xp100.

  • @Lupi2 Great vid! They were very experimental with fx when noone else was Total Guitar did a full fx/guitar interview around the follow the leader era worth tracking down! I think Angus Young was on the cover. I also read a Steve Vai interview where he tried to jam with Head and Munky but just couldn't follow their approach to playing! Praise indeed! I love the first 2 lp's but the watered down stuff that came after never grabbed me the same way.

  • good interview but the background music's too loud imo.. makes it a bit tough to hear :/

  • This interview reminds me of the classic Head all Korn fans know and Love.He still is a fuckin comedian, wish him all the best.

  • "Yes, I do! Gimmie any hat, it won't fit....except for this one...it's stretchy..

  • JR sucks

  • head, you are a motherfucker! korn without you sux!

  • i think head should collaborate with korn, like do an album or song together or something...!

  • Korn need you Brian. We need you in Korn

  • @6albert6revive6 Dude, my name is Brian, and I thought you were talking to me at first XD

  • @6albert6revive6 hes seen "the " light..when that happens its like you never had a past, wiped clean

  • At about 6:00 you can see the other guy (assuming the new guitarist) is starting to get really sick of hearing about Munky. I bet that's something Head has to address w/ members. Like, "hey guys... when we do interviews, they're gonna ask about Korn, so uhh... just hang out & I'll do the talking & try not to get too annoyed about it. sorry dude."

  • @accepttheend ex-synthplayer, they use a backing track now (due to finances).

i expected head to as always be alone. as i dont meet him everyday, i felt sorry but continued. he could do full band interviews more though; despite the usual korn-question, they're never as exceptional korn-related as this one.

  • Head described these internet shit talkers very well lmao!!

  • Tbh Head should just give up and return to Korn, he quit Korn because he wanted to father his daughter but now she's grown up he is touring solo right now. He quit because he found god, but tbh if it wasn't for the Korn fans he would never of found god.. He should be repaying the fans, not god.

  • @PanterA7454 I know lol. I'm just saying that when you're high & drunk, you're energetic. There were videos where he was sober back in the day,he was just chill and laid back like in this video.

  • @PanterA7454 Back then he was high and drunk as fuck. Since he found his way through god and no longer does drugs or alcohol,he's laid back a lot more.

  • @xZeNZoHD hha indeed

  • he can still be with korn without doing bad things he has his own decision he can still play with korn without doing drugs or something like that we are born individuals no can ever make a decision for you.....

  • @lifesteeler but he has DECIDED to stay out of korn.he said how has no intentions on going back to korn b/c he would be taking a step back instead of forward, which could in time lead him to relapsing & resorting back to his old ways.korn is doing their thing & head is doing his own thing,it sucks but all we can do now is respect his decision.

  • @MrSFblack lol, fieldy is christian too...

  • good interview...i always wanted to hear about their gear.

  • head needs to relapes!!!

  • korn are the most inspiration for me

    i love them so much

  • @PanterA7454 You totally have no idea what he is about and how much good he does for people. One reason he left Korn is because they wanted to go a wierd direction in their music (which sucks) and he wanted to go HEAVIER. And he is..listen to the music you will notice its the sound from the first 2 albums ..when Korn was the sh*t.

  • This must be the trash talking he reffered to. So very untrue..you will hear something new from him THIS year.

  • 0:45 whats concert is????

  • what's the song that starts around 2:20?

  • @ihatecountry777 Counting from Issues

  • @hereticmagpie thank you kindly.

  • he should change his name to Brian" Predator" Welch lol...

  • What song is playing at 2:40?

  • @SavageCrnbread The song is Wake Up from Issues

  • i thought that was really interesting..thanks!!!

  • they tune a six - string to G #...

    damn haha

  • any true korn fan here who can find out where i can find the full version of 0:47? its the song blind but i just cant seem to find the full version of that clip.

  • i know the guy who did the interview. yay me ;D

  • Ok thanks, what about at 7:20?

  • @Fainevitaexcessum The song at 7:20 is Counting from Issues. I know you asked a while ago but in case you didnt get the answer there ya go! :D

  • Lmao HEAD just explained a troll 7:42

  • Whats the song at 2:35 and 7:20?

  • @Fainevitaexcessum Wake Up by Korn

  • jajaja digitech xp 100 rules we need that jaja

  • @mrpancake121 hes never going back to korn. he said so in his second book

  • i beleive head will come back to KoRn i rly do

  • Korn is now about the Munky's heavy and low riffs,i miss the melodic stuff Head always putted into the songs...

  • @UltrakupraRebirth I wouldn't say that Head played melodic or Munky plays the heavy riffs, i think they pretty much just played what they felt like. As far as i remember it was head who played the heavy riff in Blind, where monkey played the brighter part of it..

  • @LOLERZniggaUMAD Reclaim My Place off of the Follow The Leader album.

  • i know he will come back. you can tell by when someone mentions koRn in his interviews he gets a sad look on his face and he wont look up at the camera he just sits with his head down and messes with his fingers

  • WOOW! Thank you so much for this interview, really interesting stuff for me as a guitarist :) Bless ya!

  • I'd luv 2 meet Brian. He's so cool.

  • where can i find the full version of 0:47?? someone please help!

  • @MrAssassinful Blind-Korn

  • @Blitzzkreigg i mean the live version of that you see in this clip.

  • u can tell Head really misses Munky, cuz of the way he keeps mentioning Munky in the interview...wish he returned to Korn

  • @deigozeus ofcourse he does. You cant be in a band with your best friend for 12 years and just not think about them

  • i was on his concert in Latvia, after show showed him my tattoo) he said its cool.

  • Which concert is that at like around 47 seconds? That junk looked live as hell!

  • i cant believe it hes tryign to be so humble which is good but do you see keith richards acting like a civilian? no gods the one who put them all together to make korn anyway he misinturpreted it....... korn was a great great band for my generation...

i liked him better before a star is a star no matter what..

  • I would see him play the UK!!!

  • the only question i would ask him is why dont he play the uk? i love his stuff :P

  • What is the song at 5:32?

  • @wakil5555 The song is Dirty.

  • He looks so healthy and happy. Awesome interview!!! :)

  • wow he is so laid back.i wish i could talk to him like this :(

  • cool that you kind of went away from the typical I was a washed up rocker story, Brian I love you but your not a washed up rocker anymore move on and branch out on your own, you deserve it!

  • Good interview man, I haven't seen a recent Head interview in a lil while!
