Agreed, Ron does dance around the question here; but the question is rather stupid. "The product is a lie" it's called entertainment. Every Hollywood movie is also a lie. When I dream, I don't have to worry about people planting thoughts in my head because I know Inception was just ENTERTAINMENT. @affilinet You left a very important idea out of that quote. If you think that Jesus was telling people to give up their sexuality, you're missing the point. God has this really cool idea of what a relationship between a man and a woman should be. I've seen what that looks like, and it really is a beautiful thing. It just seems logical to me that God would not give us a book that he knows we will never be able to understand and tell us to let it guide us. I would argue that we actually can understand the bible. Either way, I don't think there is any possible way to argue the clarity of Matthew 5:28.
And yes, lust is a natural emotion. But that does not mean it is never wrong, and that does not mean it cannot be overcome.

@affilinet The thing that I'm not understanding is how you can simultaneously believe that Jesus was God and also that getting into heaven relies on "spiritual evolution." I don't think Jesus ever mentioned a term like that. In fact, he said something totally opposed to that quite a few times. I think men use pornography and women use romance films/novels because men and women for the most part CANNOT understand and communicate with each other. Neither can be what the other one really wants in most cases so we have to use different means with which to escape into fantasies that take us away from the disappointment of real sex and real relationships. What we aren’t doing is working at HOW to make relationships fulfilling and fun.

I think the religious guys points are valid but are somewhat hurt by his religion because he has an extreme view of no pornography. But you have to realize that this world is a highly opinionated one. There are no such things as god-given rights or human rights, your morals and beliefs are based on you. You make the rules as to how you live your life. So porn for example, it may offend you but you and others like Creg but not people like Ron. I'm not a porn addict myself, but I still appreciated the fact that the porn industry was not on the attack, and if that's what they want to do, then let em'.
