For everyone wondering why nobody left when they heard the alarm, i was watching this broadcast when it happened, he explained it was only a fire alarm test so that's why nobody left. It took them the entire show to get it fixed though haha. I think it happened last tuesday for anybody curious as to when.
It's a damned fire alarm. Brian Williams can definitely keep his cool, but this isn't exactly much of a test. I've crammed out hundreds of lines of graphics code with fire alarms blaring in the background. This is nothing.
When a fire approaches outside his studio door and he starts calmly orchestrating an escape, then I'll be impressed.
this reminds me about the BBC 6'oclock news incident in 1998 when while Sue Lawley was reading the news a bunch of lesbians who were angry at an anti homosexual law came in the studio and started shouting and carrying on (Sue Lawley Brian Williams True Journalists) as i always say the only american news i watch is the nbc nightly and the situation room with wolf blitzer the rest of them are a bunch of stupid fools with nothing else to do with there time but vent there views and commentate on tv
But you should check out CBS and Scott Pelley; his style of delivering the news is smoother compared to the stodgy, pompous Williams (I don't care if he's still #1) or the ditzy, diva-like Diane Sawyer on ABC.

It was funny at 1:35 when the woman was about to speak, and then Brian goes "THANKs for the cooperation..." It sounded like he sarcastically cut her off. Also, why at around 1:20, as he's talking to the woman, the alarm is loud, but as they cut to the woman, Brian is still talking, but the alarm is completely gone? Makes me wonder if it was faked.
Wonder if anyone checked to see if there was actually a fire? Didn't see too many people behind him LOL. "Run everyone"... "What about Brian?"..l. "That's what the alarm is for" LOL
