Original GnR could've been the biggest band of all time surpassing the Stones, Zeppelin and possibly even the Beatles. AFD is the biggest selling debut album of all time and they were the first band to have two albums take up both number 1 and 2 on the charts simultaneously (UYI) . Those 3 records created worldwide hysteria and GnR sold out stadiums wherever they played. They could easily have had 8 or 9 records out by now. Shame we can only imagine how a great band could've been the GREATEST.

I attended this concert in Montreal and we actually waited 2 hours and a half before Guns came onstage. You can imagine how people were pissed off when they left the stage after 4 songs!!!
i feel sorry for slash...he had to cover axls arse every single time he stormed off stage etc...in his book he explains he hated these moments and still did what any real band member would do and stuck by axls decisions

However I do think Axl could have handled himself better and been a little more sensitive and respectful to James and Metallica and the thousands of fans who were there that no doubt paid good money for the show

@ohweloveeverton have you ever stood in front of one of these stage explosions? Even 10-20 feet away you can feel the heat. You don't need to be on fire to get burned. In that brief moment you could get 2nd-3rd degree burns and yes, the wristband would definitely give you SOME protection for at least few seconds, usually how long one of these pyro bursts are. About the scars; not so sure. I hear he covered them with tats(flaming dice), but a Metallica fan could tell you if this is true or not.

I noticed Slash complained about the monitors not sounding good and feedback problems. I wonder how much alcohol played a role in them not hearing so well. I doubt their sound engineers were anything but the best in their profession.

This was the thing about a Guns n' Roses concert back then. You never knew what you were gonna get. Would Axl freak out at an audience member? Would Axl stop the show midway through? Would Axl even show up? Would Axl start a riot? I wish i had attended some of their shows back then as they were the best band in the world.

@ohweloveeverton have you ever stood in front of one of these stage explosions? Even 10-20 feet away you can feel the heat. You don't need to be on fire to get burned. In that brief moment you could get 2nd-3rd degree burns and yes, the wristband would definitely give you SOME protection for at least few seconds, usually how long one of these pyro bursts are. About the scars; not so sure. I hear he covered them with tats(flaming dice), but a Metallica fan could tell you if this is true or not.
