Sadly yes, but it's not something you can predict. My opinion, just get a view of what a guy's intentions are, and how far he would go in a relationship, before you start one with him. If what his intentions make you uncomfortable or anything, don't go for it. Just my 2 cents. =D

I don't know the exact meaning behind the song but I interpret it this way: A man wants to stake his claim on a young, innocent girl and deflower her before other men he considers unworthy compared to himself do. In a way he wants to protect her yet have her at the same time. Overall the song doesn't sound very fatherly in my own humble opinion.
