What´s really wrong with robots? I agree with you that they could be working on other kind of developments, but they´re not the only people developing technology around the world. Robots might look creepy but (this) androids are just another step in robotics, and they are proving useful. Robots may be the ultimate tool for almost everything. Let´s give them a chance!

You're right. we don't NEED to build robots, but not only do they help on assembly lines and dangerous places, but also those who are physically hanicapped, like if they were born with no legs or somthing. I THINK the ony reason that they are build robots that "kick ballsc around" and "look like women in mini skirts" is that that is what gets peoples' attention, and that's what they would be intrested in seeing. Maybe I'm wrong, but they could be putting this technology to better use.

japanese robot development used to be about practical application, but a lot of it has become nothing more than a show of technological prowess among competing companies.
they definitely put research into a wide array of other innovations, its just that that stuff is on the surface because its gotten so outlandish and absurd.
