This is NOT made from real leather. After a few weeks of wear mine started falling apart at the seams. When the damage became too great, I took a knife and cut it open to see why it was falling apart on me. In the middle you will find cardboard which is sandwiched between fake suede and fake leather. Had this product actually been made out of real leather and had decent stitching I'd probably still be using it. But as it is now, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a quality product.

Beware, Only get the case from Apple or TwelveSouth. Do not get it from Ebay or Amazon. I got one from Ebay and Amazon and they were both fake. The book comes in the original packaging but the catch is that fake book books's may be cheaper but the leather at the top covers the proximity sensor. So when youj are talking on you iphone, you cheek will be touching the screen messing up your call. Spend the 60$ and get it from Apple.

@tldtoday I've had this for a few days and I've been having problems with calls. Often when i'm in a call, the screen doesn't go black and the touch screen stays active. I thought gripping the sides helped this, but it actually has only been working randomly, and rarely. It's very annoying and I'm going to call Twelve South soon. I guess they didn't think about the fact that you should NEVER store your cards near your Phone because it will demagnatize your Cards. Which is really annoying and has happened to me so many times! So Now I store my wallet + keys etc in one pocked and phone + ipod etc in the other.
