Well you cant join the LCPD on xbox/ps3, but if u play on PC you can install a mod that allows you to play as a cop. (NOoSe, Traffic cop, FIB) You can also call for backup, and make normal traffic stops. :)

also they need updated cop cars, not the old impalas or crown vics, they need the newer generation ones. and more types like bikes, non unmarked chargers, some picksups, and there must be some 18 wheelers, speedometer, commercial airplanes that are drivable and no 4 stars for entering the airport after game completed

and there are vigilante mission in the game that are better than the previous GTAs. There's 'Most Wanted' were you have to catch all the criminals on the list for each of the 3 map areas (Broker/Dukes/Bohan, Algonquin and Alderney). There are also missons for current crimes as well.

If there is a police car close enough, and the cops arrest a citizen they do that. Then they place the "suspect" in the back of the police car and drive away. And they keep driving, the don't got anywhere actually. I followed them for a while.
