Scandinavia is not a country... It's a region in Northern Europe which includes Denmark, Norway and Sweden. In geographic meaning Scandinavia includes countries on Scandinavian Penisula- Norway and Sweden, but in historic meaning it's also Denmark, becouse of Calmaric Union, Nordic Mythology and scandinavian languages.

@gswiaczny IIRC, it also includes Iceland. But if you talk about Pohjola or Norden, then it includes Finland, too. Sometimes people mix them up.

Of course there were vikings in Poland too. We all know they originated from Scandinavia and their influence in surrounding areas were not just sporadic. Vikings conquered England,...- dicovered Iceland, Greenland and America. Bornholm is Danish, was Viking as any, and Poland from Bornholm, is under 50 nautic miles away. Don´'t you think there were Vikings in Poland? - Well what do you know???

@frabn Also remember that vikings founded Kiev Rus, nowadays Kiev. On top of this, even the Byzantine emperor had vikings as bodyguards. The Varangian Guard, I think.

In Poland was many Vikings. They were personal guards of Mieszko I, and also on Wolin was one of their biggest trading spots.
