A kid's game, huh? I'm sorry, but Sonic appeals to most teenagers than anyone else. So when you say "kid's game" I laugh. I'm 19, and I like Sonic. Sonic 2006 was a crappy game, but it was in fact rushed. Look at Sonic Generations, and you'll see a side of Sonic that is totally different. I still like Sonic 2006, despite its imperfections.

If you ignore the Theme song section of the Audio, the soundtrack of this games is actually 95% Masterpieces. Maybe the game wasn't that good because they were too focused on the amazing music. Just listen to Kingdom Valley OST. It's beautiful.

Somewhere in an alternate dimension, there is a game called Sonic the Hedgehog 2007, a game that Sega actually delayed and took their time with, and it is the greatest sonic game in history. But in our dimension, Sega had to release it in 2006 and didn't take their time.
Jesus christ this game was such a let down. The entire thing felt like an overly complicated Final Fantasy crossover with Sonic and that is not a compliment. I'm glad Sega learned their lesson because when you placate to these pocky chomping animu shitheads you get god awful games like this and Final Fantasy 13 and 14.
@grim10fire Yeah. I played it myself and am now watching reviews and I wonder what these guys are talking about. The ONLY problems were a few minor speed pad problems and LOADING SCREENS. Otherwise the story is probably among my favorites of all games created due to the unique characters, namely Mephisto, and being able to play as shadow and sonic is more than enough reason to pick up the game.
I think they really need to remake this game improving on everything they did wrong, they can fix Sonic's bad name when people think of this game, it could potentionally be great, fix all the bugs, make the 3 hogs faster, make those side missions less mandatory, and make less loading screens if possible.

I think Heroes is a great game but Generations and Unleashed are the best. Sonic 06 is too glitches so it is too hard to complete because most of the glitches included death.

@2rok334 Yes execution is the most important part. This was the last fully 3D Sonic game and Sega took a different step and merged 2D and 3D together. It would of better if they kept 3D and 2D separately in future games afterwards for better execution in their games.

i have no complaints the way i see it sega tried to make sonic more "realistic" and in a sense they did that so of course hes not gonna run as fast. Buy it for multiplayer. As Silver you can throw the other characters through walls/flooring/enemies :3 I quite like this game, purely for Silver and Blaze :D
4: After running in to all these glitches, you should be a glitch master and remember how you ran into them. So the glitches aren't really a huge problem once you run into them a couple of times.
Dude, it wasn't a dream, they changed the time continium by blowing out the flame in the past, and without the flame, Eggman would never want it, and making it look like nothing happened. But it wasn't a dream.
You realize, you can get off the wall just not in the wrong spot. Sonics slide can be used to dispatch large enemies in less than two seconds if you know how to use it. The loading screens and scripted sequences are the only real problem, along with, of course the amigos.
The game is funner once you find out sonics abilities. You get blue shoes which boost you faster, green shoes which make a tornado, and getting these upgrades makes battle mode really fun!
Love the review, mate. But I think you a tad too nice to this game. Sonic Team will probably never be able to live this sucker down. This game makes Bomberman: Act Zero look dignified.

the graphics look awesome. i didnt listen to the reviews and ordered it anyways. it was horrible. it sucked so much, i forced myself to do one stage before i sold it.
but guess what: THEY FIXED IT! sonic generations has all the stages any sonic fan could ever want in glorious hd and playable, fun and entertaining. verdict 11 out of 10.

@pkstarstorm1up ehm yes i can. camera was horrible, controls were horrible so that one level gave me a good idea of how the rest of the game was. so i stopped when i was in the city and had to jump through hoops or something.
about the "you idiot" don't worry puberty will be over soon and you'll have hair on your balls just like everyone else.

i have no complaints the way i see it sega tried to make sonic more "realistic" and in a sense they did that so of course hes not gonna run as fast. The homing attack people were complaining about so they tried to fix that as well. Sonic 2006 was basically a sonic adventure 3 in a way. with the RPG and going anywhere you want to. The only flaw i see is that the game was rushed. We all know if they game alittle more time this would have been one hell of a good game

If anything your entire post is contradictory, as you continuously tell the critic ( that's critic, with no "d" whatsoever). Again, this is another persons opinion. Its not for you to like. If people have negative reviews for this game its because they don't like it. furthermore, if a game gets bad reviews it gets bad reviews for a reason

i bought this game when it was 10 bucks i played it i couldnt even beat it this game punishes to no end you think your doing good till a game decides to throw a glitch where suddenly you stop running on the wall and fall then punishes you even more with the loading screens which take like about 2 to 3 mins this game made me go in the corner and cry for an hour thats how punishing

I personally liked the story. it was complex for a sonic game, but how does that make it bad? if any other game had the story and ending, it would be ok. so why not this one? I'm all for nostalgia, but I am excepting to new stuff

I think if they re-worked this game, took out the loading times and the glitches, improved on the gameplay, and then released it as a second edition, it would be an amazing game. They had alot of great Ideas. even the extra characters added more variety in the game play. but it just seemed like they released the game to soon. Like they didnt work out all the bugs first. if it was fixed and released again, Opinions would be way different. but as it is now, its like a half cooked turkey

Buy it for multiplayer. As Silver you can throw the other characters through walls/flooring/enemies :3 I quite like this game, purely for Silver and Blaze :D

3: Sonic Drift is the worst game ever
4: After running in to all these glitches, you should be a glitch master and remember how you ran into them. So the glitches aren't really a huge problem once you run into them a couple of times.

Great review of a the worst game ever. The game is so bad it even made me think Sonic Unleashed was quite good (even though it isn't).
For those considering it, buy Sonic Colors, or wait for Generations, but don't go near this shit, it'll just depress you.

Dude, it wasn't a dream, they changed the time continium by blowing out the flame in the past, and without the flame, Eggman would never want it, and making it look like nothing happened. But it wasn't a dream.

You realize, you can get off the wall just not in the wrong spot. Sonics slide can be used to dispatch large enemies in less than two seconds if you know how to use it. The loading screens and scripted sequences are the only real problem, along with, of course the amigos.

The game is funner once you find out sonics abilities. You get blue shoes which boost you faster, green shoes which make a tornado, and getting these upgrades makes battle mode really fun!

@anthonyreviews64 actually in the zebrahead remix they say kick ass fast.in the regular song with only like 2 of the members of zebrahead they say act fast.so yeah.two different versions.i prefer original though.

The loading screen to get some speech and then back to a loading screen was so annoying! Camera angle and everything else you mentioned make this game the worst I have ever played. Seriously despise this game, such a dissapointment. Played it like 3 years back and haven't looked back once.
