I'm from Saudi Arabia, one of the dark red countries. Honestly, I think that stupid people would get into gay relationships here. I'm gay, but I know that I'd die if I got cought, so why risk it? There is a fine line between proud and stupid in these situations.

I think the reason why people think that christains are homophobic is that the hate filled bigots that are christian use there religion as an excuse for there behaviour. I would also go as far as to say that racist bigots do the same and some people become Christains and muslims just so they have an excuse. I would also go as far as saying anyone that joins a religion just for that kind of reason are not really true members of that faith.

yah know i grew up in white sands (a very very very small town. there i was accepted by everyone. but when i moved to the city everything changed. i started to notice when i walked down the hall people would wisper to ther friend i couldnt hear. but then my friends asked me if i was gay and i was all "mabey". I asked them "why did they want to know" and they said "cause people are saying things about you." well i found out what they were saying.... it acctuly made me a better person. thank you.

this is fantastic and i just wanna say that homphobia is sadly never going to go away. i may be hypocritical when i say what we need to do is stop replying to ppls hate comments towards gays and lesbians and bisexuals, but thats what i think needs to happen. if we all just ignore them and isolate them to their minority of gay hating sad little people, then maybe theyll stfu.

Religion causes some people to go to far, like in those countries where you can die for loving. Homosexuality IS love, just as much as heterosexuality is. No one should die in the name of love.
Thanks for pointing this out; I really didn't even know it was punishable by death anywhere. I'm going to pray for people 'infected' with hate; I feel bad for them.

I am glad you are bringing this issue to light, unfortunately homophobia and other intolerences are prevolent in todays society.
Each person has the right to choose how they live there life, I hope that one day people will look back and reflect on there shameful actions and misery they caused to people.
Stay Strong and stay true to yourself and live life to the full, show these bullies that it will not get you down, if you do then the bullies have won.
