Is it just me or does that assembly line look like it moves quite fast. Notice just how fast those men are working to install the seats. I have NEVER seen an American move THAT fast to install anything on a new car before on any assembly line and the Japanese STILL can outperform the Americans when it comes to build quality!
I have no idea why people gave you -1's for what you have said. But yes, the GT-R is assembled in the same plant as many other high end Nissans and Infinitis sold around the world.
because people are dumb and think the GT-R is god. to say that it is not built in it own factory is spitting in there face's. the GT-R shares many parts with the G, and it's cool to see your own car being made, you don't get to see that often.
it's a 80,000 dollar, 4,000 pound, hyped up Nissan that has a crap ton of warranty issues, and costs an arm and a leg to actually own. Oh! BTW! Only Nissan Master Technicians are even allowed to look at the damn thing. how much do you think an oil change costs? LOL don't forget! At 60,000 miles you have to have the engine sent out to get the cylinder walls re-coated with this substance that reduces friction. (I'm a Nissan Tech. I hate the GT-R)
Really bad thing for us here in the U.S. it cost $60 plus grand and up. In Japan it's around $30 grand plus-when they ship it to the U.S. all the taxes and shipping costs boost the price.
REALLY?!! OMG! I thought it was just the U.S. and it would be lower in other countries! Also, did you hear about the $20 grand tranny problem? And I think they took the Super HICAS out! What a shame if they did.
they neither took anything out, nor is there still a tranny problem. btw: here in europe prices will range from 96,000 to 134,000 dollars depending on the country just to give you an impression ;)
i want one soooo badly. i think i'm going to take a special course on Nissan cars on university and work for them wen i become a mechanic just so i can see one of these cars every little while.
Haha no, i thought about the same thing. It wiggled and tracked abit sideways. Just a couple of "pillows" on the sides to keep it on the rolling highway. Pretty unusual to say the least.
Nissan today announced that its GT-R supercar achieved a lap time at the Nurburgring of seven minutes and 29 seconds. Recorded on April 16 and 17, the GT-R used was a base specification car and fitted with the standard Japanese market tyres. Driven by GT-R chief test driver Tochio Suzuki, this latest lap time beats the previous fastest time for the GT-R by nine seconds.
The previous best lap time for GT-R of 7:38, also driven by Suzuki, was one of the fastest laps by a production car.

Handbiult engines, a single mated transmission, frames built in hermetically sealed rooms...thats true craftmanship right there.

dude its the same for other parts of the world too,in my country i have to add 200% tax on the car meaning the car's price is doubled.
