Drinking water with a shot stomach, intestine etc can quickly kill you, it leaks into your abdomen. In combat they tell soldiers never to drink when gut shot, and never to let another man do it. Im no doctor but thats truth.

The horses leg got caught on a rock and it broke, and most horses die when they break their legs. they dont heal like humans.

i read that their ankle bones are no bigger than human wrists. When they break, they do not have the blood flow to promote healing because the ankles are so thin. There also are no muscles there to hold up the leg.
