@MichaelaSpeer Yes! That is common. Try holding the section of hair you are curling at the ends as you twist it in the barrel.

sorry but i have naturally curly hair... and it blows, i hate curly hair... i bought a straightener to straighten the crap out of it :D but i do leave in a curl here n there, it makes it look really pretty and less 'blah' like this hair style. just a suggestion, if u want cute, curl just a few pieces :D

this is how i always curl my hair. i find that actual curling tools make odd waves and don't hold as long. but when i starting doing this with my straightener the waves looks smoother and much, much shinier. bouncier as well. i'm always pleased with the outcome.
