No freaking way your are getting 39mpg! Like any heavily modified truck it screws with your overhead. Notice your overhead says you get better mpg's with your programmer turned up vs a stock seeting? Your overhead senses how much into the gas pedal you are and uses that in part of its "calculations". I would bet my life if you drove a tank of fuel through that thing and did the math itd be dang near half of what his overhead says. I dont buy it one bit

@TheBd50 I have manually calculated this many times over. I'm not trying to fool anybody here, we all know that the overhead is never quite right. To say that it would be close to half the mpgs tho is wrong. I'm not saying it gets 40+mpgs, that's more to just catch your attention so you watch the video. However, it IS possible to get 32mpgs out of a 6.0 Powerstroke weather you want to accept it or not. Thanks for the comment tho, every view/comment is appreciated.

I have an '05 and the best I've done on the highway is twenty two. What's the Map Diffuser do for u and also how efficient is the propane injection. Good job with the mods.

I don't know about you dodge or gm guys but all the Fords I've owned from the 80's till current with a mpg read out have been dead on accurate.

30 gallon tank@40 miles to gallon would be 1200 miles a tank. the overhead meter is also known as "the lie meter"

I don't believe it, have you put a pencil to it and figured it that way? I have an 08 6.4 dpf delete, hs tuner, and S&B intake, it was telling me high twentys and 750 miles to the tank. It wasn't right cause of the mods. But I'm interested to hear more about your truck if its right.

just a thought- but i watched other videos where the programmer and few other stuff that was done to the guys truck actually threw off the mpg on the digital display... not saying your not getting great mpg but just wondering if you have ever done actual math after doing the same drive a few times.. just curious to know if your digital display matches up... thanks for the video.

Look, I could say this thing has two motors, 8 turbos and it runs on sweat, but it doesn't. I'm going to list all that is done, but in the end what matters is if you actually believe me. Anybody can say anything about a truck that may not even be theirs. I spent over 13 grand in parts, I didn't pay for labor since I was the mechanic that worked in the truck. This video is to show you that it is possible to make a powerstroke very fuel efficient. I have modified many powerstrokes, this one being the greatest so far. I have many many hours into this truck and it will do 40mpg wether or not you believe it.

bud, theres alot more than just propane and a chip on there. yes I have calculated it myself . not steady at that speed though, who has the time to do that? Ive calculated an average of 27mpg with combined city and highway.

The overhead is never right or even close...to be a true 40mph you have to figure by hand not the overhead..i agree tunes and propane may give u higher mph's but not 40

But to just throw this out there why is it when I cruise at 70mph I burn more fuel than going between 120-140mph any answers I drove the truck 256 miles and had the cruise set at 120mph and it showed I almost used a 1/4 of a tank???? Really like to figure that out!!

Thats true, except for the fact I have no programmer, just alot of motor work. Before I did all the work to it I calculated a real 29MPG with no propane. I haven't calculated it since the rebuild, but I know its alot better than it was. I'm really not trying to fool anybody here, theres a duramax I've been reading about that gets 48MPG! He's got a dual propane setup though.

I've read that tunners or any type of programmer can cause the readout to be wrong. Also those tend to read out wrong anyways, hence the name "lie-o-meter"

Tomorrow I will make a video just for you to prove that I do get an honest 40+MPG, The only way to get a current accurate reading of your MPG's is to have reset it and to also have your tire size dailed in on your computer. As you can see in that video, I wasn't going down hill or coasting! Thats as accurate as it gets man.
