That's why they call this lift a push press because u use your legs.A military press u do not use your legs.You can use more weight with the push press.I believe the push press is a better power builder.I use it for expolosive strength.
250x8 sounds like a PR to me! That's very heavy stuff. I can't even get 205 for 1, and you're repping 250 like it's packs of toilet paper. Awesome, bro!
lol thanks. The dieting is going pretty well... got down to 269 right before Xmas, and then bounced back up about 5 pounds because of all the parties and snacks. But now I'm getting back on track! The lifts using the chest and shoulder muscles are all down a lot, but most of the others are doing well and being maintained.

great job on the db press, especially coz it was after the push press. hey mark, i got 95x1 on db flat press..is your PR is still 160x1?

Yeah I am because I haven't done push press since october.I'm most likely going to jump up in weight next week.Probably anywhwere from 285-305.

Yeah I felt pretty good about pressing it for 8 reps not having trained them for a while.
And yes I still have the goal of 315 lbs....hopefully soon.
