  • What lamb of god sound in "and paying whit drums"?

  • I'd just like to say, I have this snare, and this sample really doesn't do the sound justice. On a medium tension (not cranked up as tight as possible like this is) it actually produces a very nice, round, dry tone. It's a tiny drum already, giving it a high fundamental note, so I don't think this tension is really necessary.

  • Are you sure this is a snare drum and not a frying pan?

  • where did you get this sample from, id like to hear it in better sound

  • learn to put audio from your computer with a software to the video not from your phone...

  • @Juge1sC00l ....what? this sounds fine

  • OMG THIS SUCKS!

  • lol i recognized that he was playing Hit the Wall

  • I don't care if you have the money or not....... If you idiots could pay attention and actually know someting about the instument, you can make ANY drum sound the way you want! You all fucking FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not just the heads, tuning ranges or how much it costs. A lot has to do with how you hit individually. Find what you like, and no one can tell you it's wrong.

  • so this snare comes w/ its own cheap reverb?

  • i'm thinking of getting one of theese. do they come with the hi-energy batter heads adler uses?

  • @rastabob97 yes they do, aquarian hi-enery heads.

  • why buy signature..i made my $30 snare sound exactly the same with evans drum head..and by tightening the head fully

  • @hmfvunit all im saying, is that if u have the money, this is the snare to buy.

  • @hmfvunit im sry, but a $30 snare will NEVER sound like that.. and the reason to dish out the cash for a nice snare is because your snare is the most important drum you own.. the snare gives you your sound, without a good snare man, your just another drummer in the crowd..

  • @elrojomuerto6x well my snare drum sound similar to this...yes snare drum is the drum used the most..but it's just don't like it much...i prefer dw 14 x 6.5 bronze snare

  • @hmfvunit im not saying that you need this snare, i personally have a 14x6 maple.. but without a good snare, you got no sound.. thats what makes a drum sound

  • @hmfvunit Do you realize how stupid that sounds. . ?

I can guaranty you that your $30 snare will not sound the same as my high end snare (DW Collector series).

There is a lot to take into consideration with snares, more then you know if you think a 30 snare could sound like a high end one. . .

  • @NUProductions4Music did i say anything about your dw snare? ..i just wanted to say..that these drummers are fucking overrated...and no point in buying a signature..which is someone else's sound...if you're wasting enough cash on this crap...you might as well get a custom made...this is my opinion..i myself have a dw 14 x 6.5 bronze snare..it's much better than this

  • @hmfvunit As a life drummer i say NO!!!

  • @TheMetaldrummer1987 no shit...i'd use a bronze snare up live..sounds alot better than buying a signature

  • @hmfvunit I only have one signature drum. Love it easy to tune and is true room to room. But not for nothing anybody can get that sound. Have your snare side head pretty tight and then get the snare on there not choking but not loose. Then get a bright sounding head and tune it the fuck up. Once you that a nice firm sound with a good high CRACK! You have it.....ain't rocket science. I know it may sound hard but it isn't. Just takes years of doing to get it right.

  • @hmfvunit The only problem is that the drum is tuned very badly in the video. Your $30 snare is also tuned badly if it sounds like this.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX no shit bro, i'm trying to make this point. this snare is ok..but chris adler's a very overrated drummer. just like joey jordison.

  • @hmfvunit I think it was kind of irrelevant that you brought up Chris Adler being an overrated drummer, but I also think he isn't as overrated as you think. Chris Adler has a tremendous amount of control in his playing, and not very many people can play things as cleanly as he does. You also have to remember that most people don't say "OMG he's the best drummer ever". He's good at what he does and that's what matters.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX well he might not be as overrated as much as joey jordison but he's still overrated, he's a good drummer sure that i can't doubt either. but i've yet to seen him play different genres. i can name you some drummers that are as good or better in control than him, and they're very underrated. and now please stop commenting i am sick of a 100 people whining over their "idol" which will probably change to some other "idol" in a matter of years.

  • @hmfvunit You've got to be fucking shitting me right? Do NOT tell me when to stop commenting. Where the fuck do you get the impression that Chris Adler is my idol? Dude, he's good, but he is no where near an idol for me. It really pisses me off when people try to judge me like that. You clearly don't know what the fuck you're doing. Fuck off.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX okay so you mention he's no where near an idol for you, then wtf's the point of this i agree he's no where near an idol for me as well =/

  • @hmfvunit You have no reason to think that he is an idol for me. The reason we are even discussing this is that you came out of no where and said that Chris was overrated, which was uncalled for. It's not something that needs to be carried on.

  • Sucks!!

  • what is that song thats played at the end?? it sounds really familiar!

  • @drummerboy5193 Hit the Wall |,,/

  • @Chriiiiz94 dude thank you so much that was really bothering me haha. i cant believe i didnt have the song before! what the hell is it off of? its not on the albums im so confused haha. and why does it not have lyrics?

  • shoulds like someone hitting concrete with a sledgehammer...not something i want in a snare.........also would be REALLY nice if i could hear a sample by a 'real' drummer vs. a chris adler clone

  • where do you buy this

  • I fucking love this snare.

  • Woowww.. So disappointed

  • how much is it?

  • HIT THE WALL, sweet dude

  • I am awaiting delivery of mine, this snare is F**KING RAD!!! I've had a fair few snares now, and some ALOT more expensive, and this literally kills them all! listen to the overtones!!!! sweeeeeeeet sweeeeeeeet overtones!!!

  • ive been hearing that chris plays something a little different like just a plain origonal walnut panther or something is it tru? this isnt the drum he plays live is it?

  • @thegospell he plays this live.

  • @thegospell i seen a pic of his kit where it was this snare but with no design... i think that was before he got his signature snare though

  • @thegospell This drum is a copy of the original all black Mapex he uses. It's exactly the same except for the color and the graphics. The drum he uses (he has more than 1 actually) he purchased in 1994.

  • Do you know what pitch both heads would need to be at for me to get this lovely tone from my Chris Adler snare? :)

  • @MichaelBrogannn I would tune it high, but thats just my personal taste, experiment with the tunings until u get the sound u like.

  • Hey , Nice video. I was wanting to buy a new snare for myself , And I'm a metal drummer , I like cutting loud snares.. Like the chris adler signature. I love it , But its been discontinued , So I have second thoughts in my mind for it. Can you suggest me some snares ? And whether should I just go with the chris adler one or not ?

    Thanks :)

  • @Love4Drums1 I dont know what you mean with discontinued, but if they are still selling it, I would buy it. I have a joey jordison signature snare, and its an awsome snare. Another beast of a snare is the 14x6 Warlord Masai Snare, its sic! Hope this helps.

  • cool sound. alot of tight sounding snares have no body but this sounds cool. it's similar to slipknots snare drum except sounds alot better bcuz it's not pearl. Pearl sucks btw

  • i'm thinking about buying it

played by itself i thought it sounded too "pingy" but hearing it with the rest of the kit brings a little more body to the sound

  • POWER HOOPS

  • alright guys well iv always loved chris adlers snare sound, especially since i heard black label. i don't have a very expensive snare, just a $50 tama rockstar snare, and i tuned the bottom real tight and the top about 3/4 of the way. i use a remo ambassador head. i put duct tape on the side of my snare to dampen it a bit. and it sounds like it but not exactly.

  • Its actually just pretty much standard tuning for a 12x5.5. Its the combination of the walnut shell with the Aquarian HE-12 head that makes everything come together. For the price, if your a metal player, you darn near cant beat it.

  • he switches to "fuck all other drummers" at :48

  • Sounds better on the Mapex site lol.

  • OMG that sounds like crap. Would sound even worse through a PA.

  • holy shit sounds exactly like chris is fucking sitting there playing!

  • @craigc1509 thats actually him playing:)

  • what kind of tuning is that?

  • Sounds like someone hammering a nail into the gravestone of decent snare sound

  • @ItsOttis awesome

  • MAN i want this snare! How much is it?

  • @MALSIV 339.00 american

  • $350, I'm planning on getting one soon enough.

  • Hey what kind of tuning is this is it kinda tight or very tight

  • he tightens his snare almost as to choke it, but not completely

  • What about the snare side? Just about an hour ago I really cranked down the batter and maaan I've already gotten a killer sound from my chris adler sig!

  • sorry my friend, I dont get your question. All I can say is that my friend (who has this snare) tightens his very tight and it sounds beastly. Tune it up however your ears like it most.

  • The resonante side how is it tuned?

  • 1 and a half steps higher to help reduce ring and overtones

  • Just remember- tune the bottom head to the tone or pitch you want the snare to sound like in the end, and adjust the batter for feel and attack.

Easy way to tune a snare!

  • Sounds GREAT man!

  • shame it sounds nothing like this unless ur chris adler himself with all those fancy mics and triggers

  • What? it sounds EXACTLY like that sound sample. You just need basic tuning skills.

and I'm no Chris Adler man...

  • i wouldn't know i dont own this snare yet i just have a 13x6 walnut that has a similar sound to mike portnoy snare from as i am

  • Take my word, if not you can check my channel. Gotta video of me testing it.

  • Tha would be his Steel Shell snare. That is an amazing snare. Lol.

  • adler actually doesnt use any triggers what so ever...he mentions it clearly in an interview, go look into yer research.

  • you got overtone

  • I got it, its fucking awesome, I will record something as soon as I can so you can listen to it.

  • its fucking amazing! i love it

  • Go to my channel, you'll see my soundcheck of this snare drum :)

  • AAAH! Oh, thank god... I though someone was shooting at me!

  • this sounds so fucking nice

  • i play mapex but the stoxk snares are just ok, i am defgettin this

  • It will sound so different when you get it!

They edit the sound of all products on these sites! Same with cymbals!

  • yeah they added a lot of reverb and treb but im sure its still a very nice snare

  • sounds great. really want one....

  • SAME!!!

  • yeah, me too
