Without christianity a their would be no civilization because their would be no Freedom to defend. Christ defends his Mother the church. Why not ask how christianity has harmed any peace loving civilization as a whole? It hasnt because Christ legions from heaven will defend the Virgin Bride. And he shall win.
Two thousand years of blind denial. You are following pale illusions. As you listen to the false preachers. You delight in this ignorant slavery. The enslavery that is christ. He is the ultimate deception of life. Adorning his empty words. Drown your mind his weakened holiness. The parasite of arrogance. Satan appears to halt this endless folly. Open your eyes and see the dark master.
Ancient rome has impacted the west more, christians even took from their ideas and called them their own. Christianity itself wouldn't even be as popular if it wasn't for rome and taking hold of the empire where they were once persecuted.
LOL....without Christianity the West would still be a pagan backwater. What.....oh the post-Chrisitan West is a pagan backwater again. Well no surprise there then. CATHOLIC STATE for the future!!
And all three Crusades were Christians murdering innocent people that had different beliefs. The Salem Witch Trials were pretty cool too, right? Oh, and we can't forget the Holocaust and recently Norway. Yeah, Christianity is pretty cool.
The USA was not built on Christian principles. Before telling others to read a book, maybe you should. Christianity, and religion in general, is the root of all hate, ignorance and evil in the world.
USA was built on Christian principals not "Judeo/Christian principals. Read history and quit repeating media........for example....."prayer is outlawed in school" ....no its not........Kids can pray anytime they want in school. The right and the left keep repeating lies. Why is that?
People need to realize that religions will never agree with each other. ALL religions have done some messed up things and ALL have a bloody history. No ONE religion is greater than another. Christianity is not perfect, and it has some fracked up ammendments in Psalms. There are more than just ten. How about when God says after freeing the Jews, to travel to a new land and destroy their sacred poles and homes? No religion is innocent. Simple fact.
"The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this."- Albert Einstein, in his 1954 letter to Eric Gutkind.
Death to Tyranny! Margaret Sanger was right. Long live the great Beast obviously it is the only one powerful enough to end those Abrahamic evil cults who have caused MASSIVE SUFFERING and death in this world! Come quickly abolish the ignorant who have hated Science and progress for millenia! Save us all from extinction and fragmentation. Long live humanity and the champion the Beast! F*ck this bullsh*t video full of lies.
@abby495 Calm down, Christianity brought with it many improvements, and several faults. Nothing is perfect, don't you know this? Now tell me, how is shouting "long live the name of "The Beast" supposed to be good for mankind? At least Christians respect that mankind was made in the image of something higher, and that we are not simple beasts. Would you expect a beast to treat us well, seeing how it's a beast?
@NonSapor Christianity brought with it improvements like women being treated like 2nd class citizens and hatred of science? You don't understand how the beast is good for mankind but that isn't surprising to me. I am sure if there was a message to be found in the Bible this message has eluded Christians. Beauty and the Beast was a better fairytale. Beauty was a better example. She didn't fear the Beast and so they lived happily ever after in the Castle. The End : )
Christianity is an abomination. They were against Galileo. Being a Deist isn't the same thing. Deists put together the constitution they were not Christians. If they were America wouldn't have happened. Slavery, racism genocide and division would have continued. And if that awful Bible keeps being read schizophrenia will run rampant. Islam, Christianity are unbalanced cults. Atheism, agnosticism have been suppressed. Buddhism & Hinduism offer balance. Ignore at your peril.
@TheNicksSkitsShow People are always mentioning the Crusades. Those happened centuries ago, let me remind you of a few examples of modern secularists murdering innocent religious people. The communist revolution, the Spanish Revolution, the Khmer Rouge the list goes on and on.
@musicrover531 are you suggesting something that happened a long time ago has less value than present day murders? the point is more people have been killed in the name of god than any other reason. heres another example; manifest destiny, a mass murder that killed more innocent people than nazi germany during the second world war all in the name of god. and yes the crusades are a very valid point
@TheNicksSkitsShow Manifest destiny was an example of politicians twisting Christianity to fit whatever political agenda they were trying to push through to get the constituency to go along with it. You can say you're doing something in the name of God, but if the proponents of manifest destiny were really following the will of God, all the atrocities would not have been committed.
@TheNicksSkitsShow by the way, the Crusades happened because the Turkish Muslims were violently taking over Christian lands. They terrorized innocent Christian pilgrims who were just trying to visit the holy land.
CHRISTIANITY HAD CRIPPLED THE WESTERN WORLD. CHRISTIANITY IS EVIL.
BUT AFRICA, THE MIDDLE EAST AND ASIA HAD GREATLY SUFFERED DUE TO CHRISTIANITY.
GLADIATOR FIGHTS CONTINUED FOR 200 YEARS AFTER ROME WAS MAINLY CHRISTIAN. AND SATEE WAS ABOLISHED WHEN MUSLIMS TOOK OVER INDIA. THIS VIDEO IS FULL OF LIES.
No one can definatively answer this question. Truth is we dont no. Christianity was definately an improvement over what was common place in Jesus's time but that doesnt mean crusades, witchtrials, Anti-semetic persecution and invasions never happened. Regard for human life was low in Medieval Europe aswell. I think secularisation and the 'humanist' ideas have brought those benefits attributed to Christianit but I cant b sure
The bible brought us slavery for thousands of years. There were two kinds of slavery, Jewish, and Gentile. A Jewish person could sell himself into slavery and be freed in a short time, but a Gentile slave could be handed down from generation to generation, and be beaten to death, as long as he don't die on the first day. I don't know why Christians don't talk about Gentile slaves. Not telling the whole truth is a lie

I found that a lot of the arguments that this video made can easily be shown to be contradictory to what is actually written in the bible. Some arguments were so obviously skewed that it was a bit laughable; lots of stretching of the truth and blatant lying. Overall I got the impression that this was made for religious people to pat themselves on their backs to. Like a kind of “spiritual okie-doke”, if you will.
It is ridiculous how unoriginal Christianity is. All you have to do is do a little bit of research to find that there have been many many religions before it that have the exact same storyline.
@PandaBearJelly Really? Show me, atheist. Two covenants between man and God. Man's sin paid by God himself. Go on, atheist, according to your typical atheist arrogance and assurance, you shouldn't have any problem with that.
@NorwegianKafir Ok first of all, thank you for automatically assuming I am an atheist and then going on to use the word like it is a curse or something. I am actually agnostic. There is a difference, look it up.
Now to your question. A simple google search and I get a simplified answer. Here is just one of many sites. There are book and films as well.
htt p:/ / tinyurl . co m / qk85nq
Maybe I should have been more specific in my original comment. I was referring to the story of Christ.
@PandaBearJelly you are right, for me atheist=idiot. So that you are an agnostic is very good. I have seen many books and films and they all are fabrications and packed with horrendous lies, combined with the fact that they are totally clueless about Christianity. You CAN NOT talk about Jesus Christ and ignoring the two Covenants. So show me all the "religions" with the Covenants, blood of Jesus Christs etc. If not, there are practically NO similarities.
>So, in a time when Christians are under attack, belittled, and criticized, they can still stand proud. Without Jesus, our world would be a different place where few would want to live.
You consider any dissent from your backwards belief system as victimization. Unless of course, you count us taking away your "god given right" to impose your iron-age dogmas on the rest of the world.
What absolute bullshit. Christians have burned, drowned, tortured and wiped out more people than another other group. The gladiaor games ended with the roman empire, NOT because of Jesus.
Christianity freed women? BS. Women have rights now in SPITE of Christianity not because it.

Christianity freed wowen? BS. Women have rights now in SPITE of Christianity not because it.
I think it's total bullshit that christians are trying to claim everything good in the world. They participated in alot of evil thru the years of history. It's like they are cherry picking the good and trying to erase the bad stuff. Pure bulllshit, if they put stuff like this in history books then they look like the good guys. The lady's of the emanipation movement, there man complaint was the church, standing in thier way.
Life was cheap back in Jesus's time. It's still cheap in most of the 3rd world. Try traveling out side the United States some times. Also the golden rule first showed up in ancient babalyon, thousands of years before christianity. Christians did the slave trade, slavery inthe new world and the genocide of the native americans. They pointed out the pro slave passages in the bible.
@caelestis356 Supposedly born. There's no evidence outside bible (that book doesn't deserve the and a capital letter) supporting that Jesus God's bastard son ever existed.
wow, this video claims that the world was a terrible before Christ... It's just as bad... It claims that before Christ people threw away their unwanted babies... People still throw away unwanted babies...all the time... This is such a stupid video.
Women held the same postion as men in the celtic and germanic cultures before they became christian so the bible didn't have anything to do with that.
Christiananity didnt end slavery and Jesus wasnt against owning human beings one bit, only the contray is true.
"Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ" Ephesians 6:5
"Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful" 1 Timothy 6:1-2
@mattnashisgay These are actually Paul's writings, but whatever. Just keep reading to Ephesians 6:9, "And masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master is in heaven and there is no partiality with Him."
Interesting how the 10 million or so Europeans who died horrendous deaths at the hands of the inquisition are conveniently omitted in this vid. Not to mention the countless millions in the New World whose exploitation and extermination was always so conveniently justified on account of their being heathens.
@roseliza2 That's partially true, and I don't think Jesus has anything to do with it. Though I am not a fan of Dr. Chupra, he did say something that I agree with in a nightline debate "Does Satan Exist". He said that good and evil are alway there but good is always one step ahead. Evil won't ever go away, but they are always battling each other while evil will always be one step behind.
I think if the world's Christians would dissapear, atheists would see a huge drop in money raised for just about every charity organization out there.
Jesus first to come up with golden rule? LOL what about ancient Sumerians, Egyptians and Greeks? Women liberated by christinity? yeah, maybe except those burnt at the stakes. Ending slavery? Bible condones slavery, slavery didn't end in the USA until almost 2000 years after christ.
Just imagine if religious people actually read the books that they follow. There would be no religion.
Look at the atrocities found in the Bible, all done in the name of God. They're conveniently listed for atheists on the internet (since no xtian would dare go there in case they have to face an inconvenient truth.)
the bible clearly states a woman is nothing but property,it also states polygamy is given by god and slavery is ok,slaves obey your masters.this video is nothing but propaganda
You might as well ask, "Has the English language been of any value to western civilization?" Anything ulities in a language or a religion is put there by the civilization which produced them, not the other way around. Both the good and the bad of the people who create those those cultural artifacts is expressed through them. And no, the gods dont create religions, people do, and gods along with them.
This is a good video. Nearly All the greatest scientists, statesmen, and explorers, of the last two millenniums were Christians or at least theists. The late Dr. Kennedy was a great speaker too.
Hopefully their world is going to end soon. Yeah get you to Heaven so the rest of us. Christianity is a myth a terrible one as are the Abrahamic myth. This cannot be a Christian nation we will all be DOOMED. Doom and gloom 24 7 they will bring it to pass with their mass hyseria and death neurosis. Women are victims of Christianity read the Bible, idiots. Obviously these fools who made this video haven't read that gory, violent horrible book. Brain washed morons.
This video is misleading. Notice how the narrator use the words Jesus and Church in the same breath. Jesus never told any of his followers to build a church; He never told anyone to accumulate wealth; He never said to enslave other men, kill other men, or go to war--all things the church supported. If He were alive today the first thing he'd probably do is tear down the Vatican, sell the gold and jewels, and use the proceeds to feed the poor. In fact, I'm absolutely sure that's what he would do.
Of value to civ? No. Christianity has been mostly a destructive force towards mankind. I would rephrase the question as "Has Jesus been of any value?" The answer here is yes, he has been of great value but, sadly, his message was perverted by the Christian church which is false. Jesus was killed by the Pharisees. If he were alive today, he'd probably be killed again. People aren't ready for the truth, they can't handle the truth, and they become enraged whenever somebody tells them the truth.
I'm gonna take the middle road here and say that Christianity brought some good and some bad. How about that, I'm a spineless waffler who can't take a position.
This Jebus character also cast demons out of pigs. Wow! Sounds like a cool video game. When that lady says "I wouldn't want to live in a world where Jebus wasn't born." Guess what, Jebus never existed! There is no physical or historical proof anywhere to prove the existance of this miracle dude. Raising people from the dead? Not just Lazarus, but that chick in Rehobath. All over the place- miracle here, miracle there. Now they say that miracles are just signs that point to God. Cop out!
What? Xtianity says that women can't even speak in Church. That is blasphemy. That's why women can't be priest in the largest sect, Catholicism. That's why women are cast out if they leave their husbands or even refuse them sex. Women, according to the Catholic Church, can't even take the pill, much less abort unwanted pregnancies. Women's sole purpose according to xtianity is to make more xtians. They are unclean and NOT made in the image of God. Women were made from a single rib in Adam's body
Hebrew 5:7 Jesus prayed and cried for GOD to hear him and give him mercy by saving him from death..
Oh i REALLY can see Jesus was a human. a creation. How a liar a Christian priest is.
I can tell you that 'some of' your scholars are hypocrites, they only take any verses they like and reject any verses that dislike. What a religion is that?
A game of determining WORDS OF GOD? at the same time saying that the whole Bible is words of God?
Hebrews just tells the opposite of what you want to tell here. If you read it all. Just in the next line stands he's god's son. Read the whole letters of the Hebrews.
it's John 5, 37. If you read onwards a bit, you'll see verses directly referring to you, also (in John 5, 43 you can even see guys like muhammad). Again, you should read the whole chapter, not on verse put totally out of context. Read for example John 5, 19-24.
There we read: "...that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him."
John is a bad choice to argument against Jesus is god, you know.
Jesus was not the first to proclaim the golden rule. Please look it up, the golden rule, or similar variants, was around in ancient time.
"Christianity has affirmed the inherit value and dignity of women worldwide." I don't know enough to comment, but I would assume it is not entirely true.
The Bible does not regard slavery as an abomination, rather regulates its practice. Look it up, and find where in the bible Jesus saying that slavery is unjust, immoral or plainly wrong.
Golden rule: that's also in Leviticus 19,18. No one who knows a bit about it says it's totally new - Jesus is asked what is the most important law, and he says that is it. But before that, this rule was widely understood to be used only for the other Jews, Jesus says you should even love your enemies, and that's the new thing now. Also, he says loving God with all your heart also belongs to the most important rule, and it's new this two rules are together in that way.
Basically, after you married and divorced your wife, and then married another wife, that means you had two wives. In other view, the verse shows that Muslims can't marry the siblings
I'm not christian because my family is, or everybody here says it is true (actually, most people I know are atheist/agnostic, germany isn't a christian-only country at all anymore).
I'm christian because of the message of Jesus Christ. And that's why I never could be muslim.
Jesus was the first to give us the golden rule? A simple wikipedia search tells us that the idea had been around maybe 2000 years before he was born, actually.
And as it was widely understood by Christians after Jesus' time, it apparently only applied to other Christians. Unless you ignore the crusades, of course. Or the inquisition. Or the witch trials.
It's not the fault of the christian ideology if people who claim to be it's followers act totally against it. Just like it would not be the fault of your countrie's law if you would act against it.
[002:079] Therefore, woe to those who distort the scripture with their own hands, then say, "This is what GOD has revealed," seeking a cheap material gain. Woe to them for such distortion, and woe to them for their illicit gains.
I can see you're confused between 'Shariah' hold by The Taliban, with the true Shariah. But that's a normal thing since you know less about Islam.

Anyway, where's my last comment that ask you to question your religion? has been deleted? haha
Hmm maybe your comment landed somewhere under another comment of me, youtube sometimes makes a strange order? I can remeber reading it^^
I don't read here the Bible, as we have it today and as Muhammad had it, has been corrupted. Again, who, when, what passages, how? And why does the quran actually tell us to follow our books without mentioning anything like that close to it?
So, following true Sharia, what do you do with thieves or adulterers?
Do you know why there were many prophets/messengers?
Jesus came after Moses, Muhammad came after Jesus. They were prophets. why a God(Jesus) would come in the middle? :D Wasn't it unfair to the people of Moses?
The Koran tells the clues and the signs. Will you have the time to study the book that have one million or maybe more pages to cover very much explanation?
Should I teach 1+2=3 to the mathematic professor?
The Koran is just fit with the intelligence that God created it for us.
Totally different topic now? What about my question (who when why proof - bible corrupted? true Shariah?)
I know that. First probem: after Jesus Muhammad doesn't work - he just isn't a prophet. Why should god give a prophet special rights like the quran gives Muhammad (f.e. as many wifes as he wishes). Muhammad gave that rights himself.
Jesus is the last prophet. His message is perfect. Muhammads message, especially his rules, are often against it, always in a bad way.
perhaps this time you can tell me: Jesus says the most important thing is to love god with all your heart and to love your neighbor, also your enemy. So, for what exactly do we need the quran after that? And why is it against that law of Jesus, which he clearly said is the most important?
I perfectly know there are other jewish meanings of "son of god" (Israel or very good men), but if you read the new testament, it's perfectly clear that if Jesus is described as that, there is much more behind that.
See? you have eyes but blind. Maybe you will still saying the current Bible is original even though if I show hundreds or more evidence.
The question of number of wives has been controversial amongst Muslims, just like the adultery cases which having 'the stoning to death' which contradicted with the Koran itself.
It's no argument to say somebody with another opinion is blind - it's a good excuse not to thnik about what he says...your argument was based on failing knowledge of the usage of "son of god" in the bible.
My point with the number of wives was that Muhammad wants extra rights there - why should god give him special rights THERE?
Special rights? Tell me about it further in the view of the Koran.
'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife--with the wife of his neighbor--both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.' (Leviticus 20:10)
Oh? What? I don't see the love theory of Jesus over there :D
I know that, it's Leviticus, Leviticus is OLD Testament, one of the books of Mose. There a various rules that aren't still there after Jesus, all these food rules or the strict sabbath rules, for example.
@caelestis356 Supposedly born. There's no evidence outside bible (that book doesn't deserve the and a capital letter) supporting that Jesus God's bastard son ever existed.
But it's strange that the Quran tells us to follow this books at a time they weren't still right? And where is it written in the quran they aren't the original ones?
How is your credibility as a Christian when choose which verse you want to believe or disbelieve? Isn't the Holy Book is words of God? As a believer you should believe all of them.
Unfortunately, your Holy Book is corrupted.
Mary was part of trinity in the Koran? give me evidence.
"I do nothing of myself (From the NIV Bible, John 8:28)"
In this verse Jesus claim that he was a creator, not God.
To wrong understood trinity in Koran: Sura 5, 116.
And you again (third time?) didn't answer with one word why Jesus is so much different from the Koran, so let's do that first. F.e. why Jesus told us to love our enemy and to forgive will the Koran tells us to kil and persecute our enemies and to punish.
You know, when I read different translations from Koran in german I also see differences...but you can look up the words and inform yourself when a word is important.
Btw, I do already know examples for different translations (the Bible translation of Jehova's witnesses is king in changing words so it fits to their theology), but there are really good, honest translations.
That verse refer to a kind of religion, (maybe another sect of Christianity at that time, who knows)
It is not possible since Jesus is 'God' and Mary was 'His' mother. Some people might believe Mary was God, because she born a 'God'.
About the love theory of Jesus, love doesn't describe or guarantee right things. A lovely dad might give everything to his son and might give bad factor to the son.
Don't you think killing enemies at battlefield is a normal thing? In fact, it is essential.
The Bible is not corrupt? Yes, with many of contradictions, it is corrupt.
Jesus is His servant, directly reject the theory of trinity, but mistranslated as His Son.
God creates everything, and Jesus said "I do nothing of myself (From the NIV Bible, John 8:28)"
How could God do nothing? What the God is that? Less powerful than the rocky Gods of Hinduism? This verse rejects trinity. Jesus meant he was a creation.
In conclusion, Christians who hold trinity, are unbelievers of the Bible itself.
So the Koran that is said to be from God word by word, the same ever and ever, refers to a minor religios group at a certain time, but speaks about trinity in general by doing that...read what stands around that aya, it's very general about who allah is, what he wants and so on, so why should he speak about a minor group in that context!
To trinity: try John 14, 9. Read a gospel and see what Jesus says he's got the might to do: to forgive sins. There's much more might neccesary for that than for doing miracles. Read John 10,33: one reason why Jewish people & highpriests wanted to kill Jesus IS that he claimed to be god's son...read Matthew 16, 16. Before being cruxified Jesus is asked if he is the son of god and after he said "you say it" the jewish priests say "what do we need any more proof?".
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." John 3,16 ff.
Here is speaken of ONLY son, so you see it's in a special sense with Jesus.
Now I forgot your question about war and so on ;-) That's exactly where one of the major differences is: The Islam is also a political system, Christianity is not, it works in any system. How are you different from people without religion if you give them back their attacks in same way, how are you closer to peace? How are you better? Jesus is absolutly clear against any violence there (he forbid his followers to fight when he was arrested for being killed!).
Why Christianity not political system? maybe because the politicians not confident that they can find an ultimate solution in Christianity, or in the other words, Christianity is not suitable at all to be put in politic.
How can you prove that current theory of trinity has existed when Jesus was still alive? Anyone can make a religion by editing the Holy Book by their own hands.
A God isn't a Servant. A servant to who? A God is a servant to Himself? Not a creation is a servant to the Creator?
In fact, the Christian soldiers don't really follow the theory love of Jesus in Iraq. Killing was one of their missions, that was why they bring weapons to Iraq, and killed many people after then.
What about Hiroshima? The Christians forbid Iran making nuclear, but the Christians first using nuclear bomb onto Hiroshima.
How lovely is the theory? the Christians knew that killing enemies at battlefield is essential. Anyway, Islam has own way when to kill, and when not to kill.
Here you make the typicall muslim mistake to say Western World = Christianity. That's wrong. It's not the fault of the faith if people claiming to be it's members (Bush!) totally act against its rules!
It's not been "the Christinas" who nuked Hiroshima, but some members of american military - acting against christianity. I'm against war in Iraq. Islam knows when to kill - f.e. when a woman is caught in an act of adultery she gets stoned...totally against what your "prophet" Jesus wanted.
The Koran never says a law of stoning to death, but 100 flogs.
[024:002] The adulteress and the adulterer you shall whip each of them a hundred lashes. Do not be swayed by pity from carrying out GOD's law, if you truly believe in GOD and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their penalty.
[004:016] The couple who commits adultery shall be punished. If they repent and reform, you shall leave them alone. GOD is Redeemer, Most Merciful.
If you mean Jehova's Witnesses, I think I know that and their arguments better than you, I read really quite a lot about it, I also have several of their books here.
Islam covers everything including politics and laws. That's it. As simple as that. Why not? He's the Creator.
There's no evidence Muhammad ever said yes to stoning to death. If some Muslims follow it, they refer to particular history that written by hands of men. I prefer to follow words of God rather than men.
I forgot what's the name of the Christian priest that reject Jesus as Son of God, but i saw him in a kinda TV show via youtube last year I think.
The problem with including a religion that strong in policy is, as I said, that people who don't believe in it (he's the creator...) are judged by it. And that's something different than if people don't believe in a modern state's rules. And the rules of the Koran are totally against the human rights and totally against what Jesus said (perhaps you answer this time why the Koran is against him but calls him a prophet?).
You have to know the true Shariah is hid by the poeple that follow words of men rather than words of God
The stoning to death case a good example for that. Some Muslims claim that it is from Shariah. In fact, it is contradicted with the Koran due the verses that i posted. 24:2, 4:16
How that could happen? Of course its guided by the Satan, the absolute enemies, they promised to lead men to the astray path.
However, Sura 24:2 tells you to have no mercy/pity with the adulterer...again, opposite what Jesus tells you. So, what do you think is closer to Satan, if you mention him, to have mercy and to forgive or to give them one hundred lashes?
Also, the very same Sura talks a lot about swearing, also something Jesus said we shouldn't do...he says yes/no should be enough. (you shouldn't lie when not swearing also)
So why the Quran that often is against what Jesus tells you.
Anything you believe Jesus has said might come from the corrupt Holy Books.
24:2 mentions on firmness. Of course firmness is essential in implementation. It reveals the quality.
The adulterers are guilty to who? They are guilty to God. Not to you. You don't even have any reason to forgive them.
One more thing about killing enemies at the battlefield, according the love theory of Jesus, you also have to love yourself. Do you love yourself when you don't protect yourself from the vengeance?
Do you want God to forgive your sins? So you should forgive others their sins. Who is without a sin shall throw the first stone -nobody. I don't know if you know the lord's prayer, one part of it is " And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us."
(Lk 11,2)
What are you better than somebody without religion.
That's what Luke 6, 32 says: "For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.(....) Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. "
I think that's a much better way to peace than the Quran is, which tells you to strike back. To war, fighting etc.: Read Matthew 5,38 to 48.
Perhaps, following this, you won't get "succesful" here on earth, but in God's eyes, if you don'T answer bad eith bad but with good an love,
what surely is the only way to really break away from violence. You should read some of Martin Luther Kings speeches, he tried to follow that and was succesful, in my eyes.
To the Bible is corrupted, I only know Sura 3, 78 there and it doesn't tell that the Bible actually is corrupted, if you read it carefully. there a various passages in the quran (I found a list, I don't know them all myself) from which you can actually clearly see that the
Bible, as the Christians and Jews around Muhammad had it, was seen as trustworthy at that time. (examples: clearly Sura 5,78, Sura 10,49, also clearly Sura 5, 46-47.) Why should the quran tell such things if the Bible was corrupted at that time without mentioning it? Muslims say that because the Quran is often the opposite of what Jesus says..but it always is different in an unpeaceful way, that's one point why I believe it's wrong. Another is things like the prophet...
..can have more women than the allowed 4 ones for others - I see no way why that should be important for a prophet. That's important for a ruler who thinks he's got more rights than minor people (just like Silvio Berlusconi does in our time). I really see now way why God should give his prophet special rights there...
Corrupted? Where is the proof for that? Who did that? When? That's a typicall Muslim argument to explain the contrast between Jesus and Muhammad. There isn't even any "proof" for that in the quran - it even tells us to follow the holy books.
I think it's better to forgive an adulterer (Jesus) than 100 whippings (quran, barbaric, isn't it) or stoning (Muhammad, hadiths like from Sahih Muslim, who is seen as trustworthy), for only one example.
I think you can, from a christian point, perfectly send somebody to prison, to secure others, and forgive him before god at the same time. Revenge is good for just nothing. But there's now need of hacking hands of, killing etc. - he/she someday could get a better human.
You missunderstood this...I didn't mean if Christianity is used as a political system. I meant that it's not meant to be one. And that's good: you can force nobody to believe in it of course, so you can't judge somebody by laws he doesn't believe in.
To trinity, read John 3, 16ff. again, there it gets clear that "servant" isn't the right word or if you would use it, you couldn't use it for anybody else, because Jesus sys God gave his ONLY servant...
To trinity again: To say Jesus is the "son" of good just comes closest to what he is how it's described in the bible as any other word - servant, for example.
Btw, if you study theology at a universtiy here you actually have to learn the languages the bible has been written in...So It's kind of strange if you say there gets something hidden in translation...
Without christianity a their would be no civilization because their would be no Freedom to defend. Christ defends his Mother the church. Why not ask how christianity has harmed any peace loving civilization as a whole? It hasnt because Christ legions from heaven will defend the Virgin Bride. And he shall win.

NonSapor 9 months ago

The communist revolution, the Spanish Revolution, the Khmer Rouge the list goes on and on.
musicrover531 9 months ago
@musicrover531 are you suggesting something that happened a long time ago has less value than present day murders? the point is more people have been killed in the name of god than any other reason. heres another example; manifest destiny, a mass murder that killed more innocent people than nazi germany during the second world war all in the name of god. and yes the crusades are a very valid point
TheNicksSkitsShow 9 months ago 2
@TheNicksSkitsShow Manifest destiny was an example of politicians twisting Christianity to fit whatever political agenda they were trying to push through to get the constituency to go along with it. You can say you're doing something in the name of God, but if the proponents of manifest destiny were really following the will of God, all the atrocities would not have been committed.

People aren't ready for the truth, they can't handle the truth, and they become enraged whenever somebody tells them the truth.

it's John 5, 37.

SkepticMan55 2 years ago
Golden rule: that's also in Leviticus 19,18. No one who knows a bit about it says it's totally new - Jesus is asked what is the most important law, and he says that is it. But before that, this rule was widely understood to be used only for the other Jews, Jesus says you should even love your enemies, and that's the new thing now. Also, he says loving God with all your heart also belongs to the most important rule, and it's new this two rules are together in that way.

About slavery - I wouldn't like to be a slave. So, if I love my neighbor as myself, I don't have one.
The real question, difference, is the question, who is your neighbor?
mawa89g 2 years ago
the meaning 'neighbor' in the current Bible? hm i also wonder what does it mean.
Why I should believe in a God that did nothing?
not me saying that but the God Himself
John 8:28 Jesus said "I do nothing of myself"
Isn't the rocky God of Hinduism such as the airplane better than a God that do nothing?
The rocky God she flies, and Jesus just do nothing of Himself? I 'thought' He is the Almighty...
Oh yeah Jesus do nothing but the people do for Him - making a religion by using His name

"neighbor", after Jesus, means everybody.
To John 8, 28...read the whole chapter 8. Or at least from 8,23 on. Read it in context, at least a bit.

Not because you have been raised in a Christian family.
Not because everybody said the Christianity is the true religion.

The answer for the corruptions of the current Bible could be found in the Bible itself.
We just need the perfect intelligence and of course also the guidance by God to explore the truth.
You have the intelligence, use it. Ask yourself,

Free your mind and question the contradictions.

Muhammads message, especially his rules, are often against it, always in a bad way.
mawa89g 2 years ago
I have no idea you still saying the current Bible is original after I have showed some critical of the contradictions in the Book itself.
I also showed how the Bible misinterpreted by the scholars. You should learn more about 'communication' to see how is the barrier in translation.
for example;
Israel also His son according to Exodus 4:22
"Thus saith Jehovah, Israel is my son, even my firstborn."
There's no in the Koran stated that Muhammad can marry many wives as he wishes.
Ariji86 2 years ago
"Jehova" surely isn't the right word for jhwe ;-)
I think that shall show how important Israel is/was here. It's ridiculous, sorry, to say the bible has been corrupetd because of such stuff.
To Muhammads wifes: Sura 33:50 (including slaves, of course, after his men killed their husbands)
mawa89g 2 years ago
perhaps this time you can tell me: Jesus says the most important thing is to love god with all your heart and to love your neighbor, also your enemy. So, for what exactly do we need the quran after that? And why is it against that law of Jesus, which he clearly said is the most important?
mawa89g 2 years ago
I perfectly know there are other jewish meanings of "son of god" (Israel or very good men), but if you read the new testament, it's perfectly clear that if Jesus is described as that, there is much more behind that.
mawa89g 2 years ago
See? you have eyes but blind. Maybe you will still saying the current Bible is original even though if I show hundreds or more evidence.
The question of number of wives has been controversial amongst Muslims, just like the adultery cases which having 'the stoning to death' which contradicted with the Koran itself.
Ariji86 2 years ago
It's no argument to say somebody with another opinion is blind - it's a good excuse not to thnik about what he says...your argument was based on failing knowledge of the usage of "son of god" in the bible.
My point with the number of wives was that Muhammad wants extra rights there - why should god give him special rights THERE?
mawa89g 2 years ago
Special rights? Tell me about it further in the view of the Koran.
'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife--with the wife of his neighbor--both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.' (Leviticus 20:10)
Oh? What? I don't see the love theory of Jesus over there :D
Ariji86 2 years ago
I know that, it's Leviticus, Leviticus is OLD Testament, one of the books of Mose. There a various rules that aren't still there after Jesus, all these food rules or the strict sabbath rules, for example.
mawa89g 2 years ago
@caelestis356 Supposedly born. There's no evidence outside bible (that book doesn't deserve the and a capital letter) supporting that Jesus God's bastard son ever existed.

The Holy Books mentioned in the Koran are The holy Books. The original ones.
Truthfully, the corrupted Bibles are corrupted Bibles, not the Bibles.
Ariji86 2 years ago
But it's strange that the Quran tells us to follow this books at a time they weren't still right? And where is it written in the quran they aren't the original ones?

Ariji86 2 years ago
With stoning of women, is it a wrong thing in Islam? Mohammed said "yes" to it, so did he act against God there?
mawa89g 2 years ago
Another thing, why should the Koran be true?
mawa89g 2 years ago
How is your credibility as a Christian when choose which verse you want to believe or disbelieve? Isn't the Holy Book is words of God? As a believer you should believe all of them.
Unfortunately, your Holy Book is corrupted.
Mary was part of trinity in the Koran? give me evidence.
"I do nothing of myself (From the NIV Bible, John 8:28)"
In this verse Jesus claim that he was a creator, not God.
I wonder are you a believer or an unbeliever...

Ariji86 2 years ago
To wrong understood trinity in Koran: Sura 5, 116.
And you again (third time?) didn't answer with one word why Jesus is so much different from the Koran, so let's do that first. F.e. why Jesus told us to love our enemy and to forgive will the Koran tells us to kil and persecute our enemies and to punish.
You know, when I read different translations from Koran in german I also see differences...but you can look up the words and inform yourself when a word is important.
mawa89g 2 years ago
Btw, I do already know examples for different translations (the Bible translation of Jehova's witnesses is king in changing words so it fits to their theology), but there are really good, honest translations.
mawa89g 2 years ago
And what exactly do you mean with bilbe is corrupted? Please not Konstantin again...
mawa89g 2 years ago
That verse refer to a kind of religion, (maybe another sect of Christianity at that time, who knows)
It is not possible since Jesus is 'God' and Mary was 'His' mother. Some people might believe Mary was God, because she born a 'God'.
About the love theory of Jesus, love doesn't describe or guarantee right things. A lovely dad might give everything to his son and might give bad factor to the son.
Don't you think killing enemies at battlefield is a normal thing? In fact, it is essential.
Ariji86 2 years ago
The Bible is not corrupt? Yes, with many of contradictions, it is corrupt.
Jesus is His servant, directly reject the theory of trinity, but mistranslated as His Son.
God creates everything, and Jesus said "I do nothing of myself (From the NIV Bible, John 8:28)"
How could God do nothing? What the God is that? Less powerful than the rocky Gods of Hinduism? This verse rejects trinity. Jesus meant he was a creation.
In conclusion, Christians who hold trinity, are unbelievers of the Bible itself.
Ariji86 2 years ago
So the Koran that is said to be from God word by word, the same ever and ever, refers to a minor religios group at a certain time, but speaks about trinity in general by doing that...read what stands around that aya, it's very general about who allah is, what he wants and so on, so why should he speak about a minor group in that context!
mawa89g 2 years ago
To trinity: try John 14, 9. Read a gospel and see what Jesus says he's got the might to do: to forgive sins. There's much more might neccesary for that than for doing miracles. Read John 10,33: one reason why Jewish people & highpriests wanted to kill Jesus IS that he claimed to be god's son...read Matthew 16, 16. Before being cruxified Jesus is asked if he is the son of god and after he said "you say it" the jewish priests say "what do we need any more proof?".
mawa89g 2 years ago
So it clearly comes from the context that Jesus didn't just say he's a servant of god, because that priest would have been the same then.
And a last thing:
mawa89g 2 years ago
This has been flagged as spam show
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." John 3,16 ff.
Here is speaken of ONLY son, so you see it's in a special sense with Jesus.
mawa89g 2 years ago
And Jesus says that himself. Jesus wouldn't say he the only "servant" of god, because he knows exactly about all the prophets and so on before him.
mawa89g 2 years ago
Now I forgot your question about war and so on ;-) That's exactly where one of the major differences is: The Islam is also a political system, Christianity is not, it works in any system. How are you different from people without religion if you give them back their attacks in same way, how are you closer to peace? How are you better? Jesus is absolutly clear against any violence there (he forbid his followers to fight when he was arrested for being killed!).
mawa89g 2 years ago
Read Luke 6, 27 to 36
That's totally against what the Koran says!!! And much, much better.
mawa89g 2 years ago
Why Christianity not political system? maybe because the politicians not confident that they can find an ultimate solution in Christianity, or in the other words, Christianity is not suitable at all to be put in politic.
How can you prove that current theory of trinity has existed when Jesus was still alive? Anyone can make a religion by editing the Holy Book by their own hands.
A God isn't a Servant. A servant to who? A God is a servant to Himself? Not a creation is a servant to the Creator?
Ariji86 2 years ago
In fact, the Christian soldiers don't really follow the theory love of Jesus in Iraq. Killing was one of their missions, that was why they bring weapons to Iraq, and killed many people after then.
What about Hiroshima? The Christians forbid Iran making nuclear, but the Christians first using nuclear bomb onto Hiroshima.
How lovely is the theory? the Christians knew that killing enemies at battlefield is essential. Anyway, Islam has own way when to kill, and when not to kill.
Ariji86 2 years ago

In fact, there's no law of stoning to death in the Koran.
Have you ever known that there is a sect of Christianity that rejects Jesus as Son of God?
Ariji86 2 years ago
If you mean Jehova's Witnesses, I think I know that and their arguments better than you, I read really quite a lot about it, I also have several of their books here.
mawa89g 2 years ago
The translation of the Bible of Jehova's Witnesses (New World Translation) is really corrupted by the way, you should inform yourself about it.
mawa89g 2 years ago
Islam covers everything including politics and laws. That's it. As simple as that. Why not? He's the Creator.
There's no evidence Muhammad ever said yes to stoning to death. If some Muslims follow it, they refer to particular history that written by hands of men. I prefer to follow words of God rather than men.
I forgot what's the name of the Christian priest that reject Jesus as Son of God, but i saw him in a kinda TV show via youtube last year I think.
Ariji86 2 years ago
The problem with including a religion that strong in policy is, as I said, that people who don't believe in it (he's the creator...) are judged by it. And that's something different than if people don't believe in a modern state's rules. And the rules of the Koran are totally against the human rights and totally against what Jesus said (perhaps you answer this time why the Koran is against him but calls him a prophet?).
mawa89g 2 years ago
So, do you think the Shariah is good or bad?
mawa89g 2 years ago
You have to know the true Shariah is hid by the poeple that follow words of men rather than words of God
The stoning to death case a good example for that. Some Muslims claim that it is from Shariah. In fact, it is contradicted with the Koran due the verses that i posted. 24:2, 4:16
How that could happen? Of course its guided by the Satan, the absolute enemies, they promised to lead men to the astray path.
Ariji86 2 years ago
However, Sura 24:2 tells you to have no mercy/pity with the adulterer...again, opposite what Jesus tells you. So, what do you think is closer to Satan, if you mention him, to have mercy and to forgive or to give them one hundred lashes?
Also, the very same Sura talks a lot about swearing, also something Jesus said we shouldn't do...he says yes/no should be enough. (you shouldn't lie when not swearing also)
So why the Quran that often is against what Jesus tells you.
mawa89g 2 years ago
Anything you believe Jesus has said might come from the corrupt Holy Books.
24:2 mentions on firmness. Of course firmness is essential in implementation. It reveals the quality.
The adulterers are guilty to who? They are guilty to God. Not to you. You don't even have any reason to forgive them.
One more thing about killing enemies at the battlefield, according the love theory of Jesus, you also have to love yourself. Do you love yourself when you don't protect yourself from the vengeance?
Ariji86 2 years ago
when we talk about love, its not only about love others, but also love ourself.
By practicing love theory ALONE, it doesn't clarify the right things. we need more than love theory to do the right things.
Ariji86 2 years ago
by practicing love theory ALONE, how can you guarantee that you distribute fair love between you and others?
Again, we need more than love theory to do the right things.
Ariji86 2 years ago
Do you want God to forgive your sins? So you should forgive others their sins. Who is without a sin shall throw the first stone -nobody. I don't know if you know the lord's prayer, one part of it is " And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us."
(Lk 11,2)
What are you better than somebody without religion.
mawa89g 2 years ago
That's what Luke 6, 32 says: "For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.(....) Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. "
I think that's a much better way to peace than the Quran is, which tells you to strike back. To war, fighting etc.: Read Matthew 5,38 to 48.
Perhaps, following this, you won't get "succesful" here on earth, but in God's eyes, if you don'T answer bad eith bad but with good an love,
mawa89g 2 years ago
what surely is the only way to really break away from violence. You should read some of Martin Luther Kings speeches, he tried to follow that and was succesful, in my eyes.
To the Bible is corrupted, I only know Sura 3, 78 there and it doesn't tell that the Bible actually is corrupted, if you read it carefully. there a various passages in the quran (I found a list, I don't know them all myself) from which you can actually clearly see that the
mawa89g 2 years ago
Bible, as the Christians and Jews around Muhammad had it, was seen as trustworthy at that time. (examples: clearly Sura 5,78, Sura 10,49, also clearly Sura 5, 46-47.) Why should the quran tell such things if the Bible was corrupted at that time without mentioning it? Muslims say that because the Quran is often the opposite of what Jesus says..but it always is different in an unpeaceful way, that's one point why I believe it's wrong. Another is things like the prophet...
mawa89g 2 years ago
..can have more women than the allowed 4 ones for others - I see no way why that should be important for a prophet. That's important for a ruler who thinks he's got more rights than minor people (just like Silvio Berlusconi does in our time). I really see now way why God should give his prophet special rights there...
mawa89g 2 years ago
How couldn't you get it?
Let me repeat
The question that should be answered first before you can forgive someone is, is he guilty to you?
If he does, oh yeah, you can forgive him
In the case of adulteries, they're guilty to God
Plus, didn't you read [004:016]?
'The couple who commits adultery shall be punished. If they repent and reform, you shall leave them alone. GOD is Redeemer, Most Merciful."
Ariji86 2 years ago
I got it. I didn't agree. And I read it - doesn't change that it's still legal to give a woman 100 lashes in the quran.
And when they're guilty to God, he, NOT WE is the one to punish - and that again is exactly what Jesus says.
mawa89g 2 years ago
He commands us to punish is just a test to see we obey Him or not. That's all.
Don't you see how the Moon moves, how she obeying the Creator.
Ariji86 2 years ago
Ah, come on, Jesus told us to love and forgive, not to punish - so don't you see there much better (because forgiving is harder) how you obey him...
Interesting, in german moon is "he", not "she" like in English^^
mawa89g 2 years ago
A world without a punishment is the heaven for the criminals, isn't it?
Oh yeah Jesus told us in the corrupt Holy Books.
You should question your religion in exploring the truth.
Ariji86 2 years ago
Corrupted? Where is the proof for that? Who did that? When? That's a typicall Muslim argument to explain the contrast between Jesus and Muhammad. There isn't even any "proof" for that in the quran - it even tells us to follow the holy books.
I think it's better to forgive an adulterer (Jesus) than 100 whippings (quran, barbaric, isn't it) or stoning (Muhammad, hadiths like from Sahih Muslim, who is seen as trustworthy), for only one example.
mawa89g 2 years ago
I think you can, from a christian point, perfectly send somebody to prison, to secure others, and forgive him before god at the same time. Revenge is good for just nothing. But there's now need of hacking hands of, killing etc. - he/she someday could get a better human.
mawa89g 2 years ago
It covers it badly. Mohammed is not a good model for us to follow, in any way.
havock89 2 years ago
You missunderstood this...I didn't mean if Christianity is used as a political system. I meant that it's not meant to be one. And that's good: you can force nobody to believe in it of course, so you can't judge somebody by laws he doesn't believe in.
To trinity, read John 3, 16ff. again, there it gets clear that "servant" isn't the right word or if you would use it, you couldn't use it for anybody else, because Jesus sys God gave his ONLY servant...
mawa89g 2 years ago
To trinity again: To say Jesus is the "son" of good just comes closest to what he is how it's described in the bible as any other word - servant, for example.
mawa89g 2 years ago
Btw, if you study theology at a universtiy here you actually have to learn the languages the bible has been written in...So It's kind of strange if you say there gets something hidden in translation...
mawa89g 2 years ago
