The controls and camera make more sense, and the missions are a shit-ton tighter. The only game from the trilogy that matches it for me is San Andreas, and that's simply because of its massive scope. But considering CW takes place on a single 256 pixel screen, I'd say the game is God damned amazing. Naysayers are, unarguably, talking out of their ass.

i Agree DS lacks when it comes to graphics compare to psp but then ds has a greater style of game play and uniqueness that makes it far more better than PSP. yes it is very right that.. what if DS game developers shared their codes to psp game developers? of course they could make the game from ds with a fantastic graphics but will never beat the sensation that ds brings. you know you have one right? You can rattle all the specs (from Wikipedia) you like, but it doesn't change the incredible diversity of the system. Being unable to pull off texture filtering isn't the end of the world, and crowding a tiny screen with polygons isn't going to make a game play better. In fact, the DS isn't shit hardware, it's amazing hardware.
@irpacynot GTA:CW Has superb graphics. Its actually pretty impressive how much is going on in the game, particularly the amount of detail in the environments. The stylus is used very effectively in the game, in a fun way.
The GAB was a suped-up SNES, while the DS is an enhanced N64. The DS has much better texture detail than the N64 (note the lack of blurry textures in DS games).

DS only has like 1 or 2 rated M games, most of the games have "cartoon" violence or "mild" language, if they want DS to be more popular they should get some better games. But I have to admit the DS "is" pretty cool. I got some good games like Guiatar Hero On Tour.

Well, consider this: They've recreated most of Liberty City from GTA IV, and along with that, they've got realistic A.I, weather, and day & night. In order to make the city actually feel like a living, breathing, believable place, they stream everything in from the card without drops in the framerate by making the perspective pseudo-isometric. Had they tried to go the Transformers / Tony Hawk route, they would have had to sacrifice a lot.
I think this would have been better done the other way. Also sorta bummed that it's not on PSP which is what I usually game on. May still pick it up for my DS depending.
i am not saying i dont think this game will be good, but i disagree with people who say that this will be better than the psp versions. the over the shoulder view suits gta better than this top down one. it would have been possible to do that even with the ds's limited graphics, since they did it with the gba a while ago.
my uncle works at rockstar, igot to play an unfinished version of this. fuckin awesome, no slowdown and the AI are really smart. i never tried this myself but according to gamespot u can follow people going to work and restaurants. apparantly they even get into fights with some random people on the streets.

Yeah, th interaction elements in games like Nintendogs and wii games like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics are really great, so yeah I agree with you, but the PS3 does have some motion control, so don't count it out

actually, in the interviews, Gordon Hall said it was 900,000 lines of code. It's incredible! He did say this is the biggest game Rockstar Leeds has ever made!
The people from a Dutch gaming web played the game. Dem say the game had very smooth controls, the map is a duplic of the one in GTA IV (only the very western island is missing) and in the first mission you've gotta do some very spastic minigame to escape from a sinking car. There's also a sniper mission.

this is very different though as it is a totally different gta game. i.e. touchscreen, save points, drug dealing, the view (which i really like) that is inbetween 2d and 3d. i like the way youve got a screwdriver to break into old cars but new cars need electonic override systems. good idea!
i personally think this gta game could push gaming more than any other before. sounds a bit over the top and a lot of you would disagree but check the previews and see how many times you say "holy sh1t " out loud. probably surprise yourself as i did lol

it's the console's uniqueness (touchscreen, microphone etc) that makes this game awesome.
i also love the cel shading graphics.
and music without vocals is actually pretty nice to listen to.

BE INTERACTIVE !! like you can make ya own tattoos and if i get it right even search trash cans and i think even shift in a car thats something ONLY the DS and WII can and i realy mean ONLY the DS and WII and non other console else so it may be a little cartoonish but thats only for the extra's of being interactive. am i right ?

Yeah, th interaction elements in games like Nintendogs and wii games like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics are really great, so yeah I agree with you, but the PS3 does have some motion control, so don't count it out

Man I'm this game is going to kick psp fans ass, until now ign,gamespotand much other sites that gave a previenw about this game, had only talk good things about this game, it is bigger than the ones for ps, though the grafix may not be good as it, it for sure will be a great game.

It's possible. The basic controls don't really make use the touch screen. However, they'd have to either rework the mini-games or omit them.

this game is actually supposed to be better than all the past ones. GTA Chinatown Wars has 800,000 lines of code and previous ones roam from 50,000-600,000 lines of code.

actually, in the interviews, Gordon Hall said it was 900,000 lines of code. It's incredible! He did say this is the biggest game Rockstar Leeds has ever made!

i think this will be pretty good. i like the 2D/3D look of it to be honest kind of like a slanted top down view.

The people from a Dutch gaming web played the game. Dem say the game had very smooth controls, the map is a duplic of the one in GTA IV (only the very western island is missing) and in the first mission you've gotta do some very spastic minigame to escape from a sinking car. There's also a sniper mission.

i thought you meant the first gta game in itself. my bad.
this is very different though as it is a totally different gta game. i.e. touchscreen, save points, drug dealing, the view (which i really like) that is inbetween 2d and 3d. i like the way youve got a screwdriver to break into old cars but new cars need electonic override systems. good idea!

i personally think this gta game could push gaming more than any other before. sounds a bit over the top and a lot of you would disagree but check the previews and see how many times you say "holy sh1t " out loud. probably surprise yourself as i did lol
