Actually IROC stands for the International Race Of Champions. Its kinda like a big race, well chevy was asked to have the camaro as the new iroc car. So they did away with the SS and called it the IROC because it was featured in that race. And no the SS was made back in 67, irocs were only from 85-88 I think

IROC-Z Camaros were produced from 1985-1990... and the 5 speed G92, L98 and 1LE code optioned cars were the faster ones.... the rest were just decent lookers with lack of performance...LOL!!!

Once you mod them the distance gets much wider. By the time you are done making a TPI fast, it's no longer a TPI. Which is fine, as long as you go with a decent setup. An LT1 is just a reverse cooled SBC with less head options (although way better stock for stock against an L98) and a crappy distributor setup behind the water pump. The LT1 gives you a better starting platform if you want to just do bolton stuff. Both setups are hard to find tuners for compared to LS1 stuff.

@slackerm1 I have had several iroc tpi 350's and a lot of 305's too but my 93 is like a total different animal. Lt1 6 speed will just rape a 350 tuned port. Very nice vids man, VERY NICE!
