well you dont have to buy from itunes to get songs on your ipod, you can download from limewire and put them on your ipod for free.

and my ipod lasts for an extremely long time. it all comes down to how well you care for your ipods battery.

ive bought a ipod touch a while ago to replace my ancient samsung yp-z5 and the touch paled in comparaison...yep the screen is cool but it fails short on what really matters...first off itunes sucks, its so confusing to get movies, pictures and MUSIC on the touch, the samsung is just simple drag and drop...Ipod HAVE to sync with itunes + sound quality is miles behind my sammy, and that thing is sturdy, no need for a ugly ass case. Ipod lacks features , their just for the looks of it.

Whether the rumors are exact or not, it's clear that the updates in September are going to be big. Thinking logically, iPods have to get a price cut, so that's probably correct. iPhone FW 2.1 better be a major update to fix most, if not all of the current bugs.
