My strategy for Knights, Heraldry, and Jousting was to make it exactly the same as the king's except for one aspect. In retrospect, it would've been more efficient to start with the default settings, then change each one that the wizard DIDN'T call superior by 1 each time. That, or on finding a "superior," change everything ELSE to be the same.
Guess he has to work at his bench -- hard to drag that out into the light.
I don't get what's up with that "I don't think you have everything" glitch; I kept getting it too. It's just the message you get when you talk to him without giving him anything.
Brings back memories. I remember playing this game, but i was so young that i couldn't read. I would just pick different colors and animals and hope to win the jousting game.
The Joust is probably one of the most fun in the game, but it also goes a bit against the message of the game. In a real joust, your shield design doesn't help you win, and as for the wizard...magic is great fun and I have no problem with magic, but I have my doubts if it should be in a science game.
@Thanos6 I played this game in fourth grade and I was easily able to realize that the color of a knight's shield and the design on it would make no difference in the actual physical fight, and also that there were no wizards coaching the jousters on what color shield would be stronger. The exhibit is simply a clever way to teach about heraldry, which was a big deal back then, and to incorporate it with jousting. If any child gets confused about that then maybe they should be in special ed.
Jousting sure was different... I wanna play this game now just because of this.
