  • Mile Post 365 (between the sidings of Johnstone and Pinto) or 13.5 miles east of Del Rio, TX. San Antonio is 155.7 miles further east.

  • nice video

  • thats beautifully done

  • That's great video.

  • if you have nothing but bad things 2 say about it...dont say it and let other people hear it...becasue more people support and protect the locomotive then do dumb ass losers like you!

  • You just never know when to quit do you Mr. Cock sucker?

  • Don't even pay him any mind. He just does it for attention.

  • FYI 844 was never retired, that means she's nowere near junk so live with it.

    LONG LIVE STEAM!!!!

  • @Cockroach2008 A lot of times her largest emission is water vapor. Watch this: watch?v=Zt8S5DIzDmo video and see her spewing mostly water vapor. Compare to a diesel: watch?v=2Za57_HF5H8&feature=channel. UP 844 helped to move a freight train. One of the diesel locomotives broke down and UP 844 moved the train to a station to clear tracks.

  • I have rode behind 3985 when she came to Chicago! But never rode behind 844.

  • you did, really?

  • That was an awesome clip, it came through Salina. KS and I wish I had a video camera. We set up on an old iron Bridge just west of New Cambria and caught some good still shots of it steaming through. Thanks for posting!

  • Killer shot, Trainedkiller! I especially love the telephoto of her steaming away, into the sunset.

  • Thanks. Glad you liked it.

  • Beautiful shot.

  • Call me a hopeless romantic...but damn...I agree with Gen. George S. Patton, "God how I hate the 20th Cenerty." To bad this is no longer the prime of railroading today.

  • @soundguyjr You mean the 21st century...

  • @foroke1 well, ya... 21st and 20th .... 'These ain't the times they use to be' ...

  • Beautiful locomotive. <3

  • HOT!

  • I love how the sun illuminates the smokebox front.

  • Very nice!
