  • From below!!!!

(Continued) The sensor does not realise its full already-so It keeps filling, once its at you level turn it back to the wash and the machine will re-heat(On my grans because of the temp dial-Not sure about yours!!). The rest of the cycle is normal-Becarefull when selecting 5 though as most of the time it starts draining and spins at full speed!!!!

Try it see what yours does-it may not work it took me 8 times for it to work!!:D

  • I may have took 8 times becasue if you put the dial on a number (e.g 5) then turn the dial very very slighty the dial does little clicks, I think this reduces the time for that click because once I skipped a rinse one day onto an interm spin and it didn't balance spun, stopped didn't balance then spun again

Strange machines these Hoover Performa's lol

    Thanks for the info :D

  • These are strange machines!!!! :)

  • I now yeah, your right!! lol

  • My grans hoover pump went wierd now, it makes a loude chugging noise, and all the water is not drained before it starts spinning-it gets 2 800 and the pump shuts off, this is scary then the rinse happens as normal-on final spin, it spins 2 800 normal but 1000 & 1300 are spun without the pump on!

Also I learnt a trick with the dial on my grans!!!!! turn it to 5 1/2 way through the wash-The machines fills up thinking that the program has just started and the sensor does not realise it(Continued.)

  • Oh great, thanks for telling me that :D

I will try that next time I was and let you know, esp. the higher water level. What cycle were you using when you learned the trick anyways?

Strange thing with the pump on your grans machine, I don't understand that

  • Have u cleaned the inside of the pump yet? That makes a huuuge difference, should there be any object in it ;)

  • Yes my dad did it. It was me that broken it though. Awhile ago a washed some whites at 90C with a bra in and metal from the bra wen in the pump and it went very very very noisey. So my dad took the sump hose off from the bottom of the machine and took out the bra wire. It sounds nice and healthy now but there has to be alot of water in the machine to get it to pump out, but the samll water thst comes out of the clothes during a spin doesn't pump away and this happens. The metal damaged the pump

  • That's a shame! But please, never wash bras at 95°C! I don't know why people do that, but bras also get clean on 60°C or 40°C! They're not really built for a boil wash *lol*

Pumps are very cheap though, and easy to repair ;)

  • My fault I forgot it was in there. My mum was going mad about the bra. Im more bothered about the washer haha lol. My mum does the bra's bad hand now. There white so I do them at 60C.

I just wanted a maintenence wash at 90C thats all lol. I didn't tell my dad that it was 90C though

My machine is very dangerous too you know. esp. if you put the drain hose over the sink because it doesn't do a cooldown!!!! even at 90C all it does is shut the heater off on the last phase, that isn't long though
