One more lion and this would have ended differently. I've noticed that when lions are trying to take the fight out of taller animals that they grab the head or neck and flop on there back- probably to immobilize it while other lions kill it. The zebras always lean into them and make the lion carry it's weight, probably to keep the lion from getting enough momentum to tear the skin. As soon and the lion repositions its mouth to break the stalemate the zebra runs away.
