This is the number 1 reason (besides not wearing a fall arrest harness...) that kill hunters. Trying to adjust the stand while you're 20 feet up is just plain stupid! Kudos to you! Im sure someone will die after trying this and all courtesy to this video!
@dclaflin how would someone die using this particular method? you yourself are secure in the top half, and if the bottom portion falls, you have your umbilical cord, just pull the bottom part back up. I dont see the big deal
You are a genius. It is near impossible to do that with one hand and you have solved the problem. I will always carry a bungee in my pack from now on. Thanks so much
wow great idea! i never thought much into it so i usually climb down and then tighten it and then go back up its annoying.

iv had that problem be for and mabe even to lighten the load just a little bit try to use the one that goes behind your heals when you climb

I love the Idea. It is awsome. Question? How did you loosen up the tension on the trigger mechanism? It has to mush tension. I love the idea though.
