  • The piece was Not written to honor Carl Nielsen. In fact for the completely oposite purpose.

  • @JeppeBrander Exactly - this piece is a piece that mocks the all-occupiedness Danish music critics at the time had of Carl Nielsen. Thus the only spoken text is "Carl Nielsen vor store componist" - "Carl Nielsen our great composer", and at the end of the score a note says: "Gentages i al evindelighed" - "To be repeated for all infinity".
