Very similar. 56 was a face-lift of the 55. Different grille and trim, dashboard, 55 was six volt, 56 was twelve. 56 was first year of the 312. Also first year of 4-door hardtop.
What a beautiful design. Ford certainly came up with a nice, head turner in this particular model. I just love to get my hands on one of these vintage vehicles. Once a had a ford 1953 mainline, and a really enjoyed driving around that machine. No question, the victoria 1956 it´s the top of the line for my taste. Looking forward to own one like it. Congratulations to the owner of this beauty.

Just a Fairlane. Crown Vicky had a chrome band across middle of roof. Fairlane was deluxe model until '59 when replaced by Galaxie.

The car is a '56 Fairlane, and it's not mine. (Wish it was) The motor is a 312 cu. in. Y-block with 3-speed std trans.
