@stckurasowt yeah move to canada is fine. but moving to yukon is not, lol. its good for visiting in summer though. should be one exotic vacation, if you know the right things to do with right adventurous people.
Thank you Sarah...Figured that you were homesick by now....even if you were in your hometown!...The Yukon does that to certain people and you're definately one of those! :)....I just happened to be on my channel when you were by....cool!....We miss your glow too girl...safe trip home!
Ever since I came to live in Canada I have wanted to live in Whitehorse YT, I am still trying to get a job there before I shuffle my way up there.
I was just wondering if the people in Whitehorse are able to co exist with colored people. Out here in Saskatchewan its quiet a strain on these rednecks to have colored people around. Any info is much appreciated.
I'm sorry to hear that our Saskatchewan brother's are projecting prejudice towards anyone Allen....Hmmmm?...I don't believe that you'll have any problem's in the Yukon. We are a real mix of Ethnic backgrounds and to my knowlege, there are no problems. Why don't you just make a trip up this summer and have a look see and get to know our people. I'm sure that you'll love everything about this beautiful country !...best wishes on your endeavors....Yuke.
I've only worked in agriculture (go figure) and I was wondering if it's possible to get hooked up with a job in YK before moving there, so that a landlord could actually trust me not to flake out? Or are there any jobs up there with room and board? I could save enough money for first and last but I'd have to know whether I could pull through in the long haul.@Yukoneze
Hahaha Hey for the record we just had an Indian Summer +40 C with close to 22 hours of daylight during summer months. but our winters average -15 to -25 with a few cold snaps which reach as low as -45 Celsious.....in case your still wondering
Loren. Thanks for the quick response!! Just did a quick look online and the lodge you have today doesn't look anything like when I lived there!! I have several 35mm slides of the lodge from those days and if you are interested I will get them scanned and send them to you. Gary Van der Veen and his folks are old friends as are the Flumerfelts. Say hi for me when you see them next!! Ted.

Thank you very much jjjoe....The credit all goes to Mike....We did most of it on a laptop, worked all night. This isn't quite finished yet. We used more of my song in the new mix, with more scenes. The thing I miss about the Yukon is the tenacity that people have for getting work done and not complaining, real spirited and full of life. I miss home.
That was an unuasually snowy winter Pony and up in the summit area above Kluane lake...Then when it gets to our 30 to 50 below, it quits snowing..Yes it's cold here, but beautiful in the winter too! Then we get 24 hours of sunlight for a few month's...It's great living here...thanks for your comment/questions...Yuke...same counyry :)

Yukonze!, I have just arrived, what are the good sights out of Whitehorse? I need to see the best of "YUKON JACK"?. What did he love about CANADA, and why did he love it so much!!!

The winter we filmed this, it was almost a record year for this area...Normally, we don't get that much snow. It's fairly dry in the Yukon. Just cold, eventually it gets too cold to snow during our long cold and dark winters...
its beautiful! i live in northern alberta about 3hrs south of the N.W.T border it can get pretty cold here around -40 to -50 but i love it, i love the north. and i always wanted to live in the yukon. the north is amazing! and great job on the video!
Hey av.....Not really like Colorado, different type of terrain. But, yes, a little farther north and the winters are a lot harsher. Almost over for this year though, thank God....Long and cold!...Hey, you said "eh"....that rhymes...lol, you must live in a border town?...:)...tks for the comment....Yuke

Just fantastic Loren. I have a brother in Juneau. I am from Pennsylvania. I get up to visot my bro every now and then. Made the trip last year in early February. Stayed at Fox Lake in Whitehorse. I live in the NW part...along Kluane lake, where this vid was shot....Beautiful here, but, not today...northern blizzard is in and it's going to -46 by Sunday....brrrrr.....tc....Yuke
Thanks for your comment ....There are lots of different kinds of jobs here...In winter, mostly construction and related fields. In summer, lots of service industry work is available. Basically, what ever skills you may have, can be useful here in the north...Good luck!...Yuke
Bl4...Thank you for your comment and for favoring the vid..... Yes, you'd probably love it up here. But, I reccomend you try it in the summer first, pretty cold as you can see in the winter, but, beautiful any time of the year. Hope you make it one day. tc....Yuke
Actually we are on the other side...smile...Yes it's beautiful and warm in the summer with 24 hours of daylight too! We are very lucky, thanks for the comment. :) Yuke
Thank you too Cypress,yes...it does that to a person. That's why we live here. Although winter is here again, it's beautiful! Come visit again one day.:).tc Yuke
Well, this is my first Youtube comment, and I'm about to be heading off south for College and University (hence the name). Watching videos like this really reminds me of just what I'm going to miss.
Great vid, the first bit really struck a chord with me.
All the best in your studies. You'll be back once you get your degree, we need qualified professionals here, so, we'll see you again. Thanks for your comments...Yuke
Man I miss the YUkon- I wanna move back up there so badly, my dad and little brother and Uncle steve live up there. Saw them for the first time in 9yrs this summer. first time meeting my little brother
I love living in the yukon. what is with the ignorant racist canadian caucasian? it baffles me why people waste their energy hating others. it is all just a matter of different skin pigmentation. before colonization, first nations people survived in one of the harshest climates in the world for thousands of years...that is pretty damn admirable.
how is the Yukon pathetic? it's one of the most breathtaking looking places in Canada.
and a bunch of indians? do you realize that these people have lived here long before any of us came to stay on this land?
and it's pretty hilarious that the only thing you have to say in defense for your arguement is calling the people 'fags.' Too bad you didn't fucking use it in the right context!

Thanks for your comment ....There are lots of different kinds of jobs here...In winter, mostly construction and related fields. In summer, lots of service industry work is available. Basically, what ever skills you may have, can be useful here in the north...Good luck!...Yuke

Well, this is my first Youtube comment, and I'm about to be heading off south for College and University (hence the name). Watching videos like this really reminds me of just what I'm going to miss.
Great vid, the first bit really struck a chord with me.

Couldn't agree more Zahara...Thanks....Yuke

how is the Yukon pathetic? it's one of the most breathtaking looking places in Canada.
and a bunch of indians? do you realize that these people have lived here long before any of us came to stay on this land?
and it's pretty hilarious that the only thing you have to say in defense for your arguement is calling the people 'fags.' Too bad you didn't fucking use it in the right context!
just shows how intelligent the rest of canada is.
and i'm from toronto. i'm pretty fucking ashamed.
