So acording to Merlin's riddle, at the end of season 4, if Mario is killed, then the Darkness will also be destroyed, and if the Darkness is destroyed for good then Mario will never come back. So why would the Darkness want to kill Mario so bad????? So either there is a way to get rid of the Darkness without killing Mario and we just won't know what it is until some point in season 5, or they'll have to kill Mario so the Darkness is gone for good and there won't be any cliff-hangers.

Does anyone remember that acording to Merlin's message in season 4, that nethier Mario or the Darkness can live while the other is dead? Acording to the Darkness, he to figure out Merlin's message, which means that he should have known that he can't kill Mario without killing himself. Unless Mario finds a way to get rid of the Darkness without killing himself in season 5, then The Darkness will always be alive, and season 5, won't be the "end".
