  • The new interest rates are usury.

  • if wall street and the banks and the savings and loans are all bailed out then why do any of you owe then anything? We must appear really stupid to them if we let them double dip us, right? We have the mass if we could only agree to use it. Stupid Monkey....

  • all in favor of Mark write 'I'.....I! I am in huge dubt due to an ex fiance and trust me it sucks but I refuse to have it in my life....there for I have changed my whole lifestyle, I ride my bike places, I pack my lunch, I dont eat out, I budget for everything and no more major shopping sprees. I got a roommate and am getting out of this rat race called credit card debt. Chase and Capital One have screwed me over but BofA has not....(its paid off now...)

  • My co-worker has a second, part-time job to make ends meet. He would love to work an extra 20 hours a week at his full-time job rather than take the reduced pay from his part-time job but the law forbids our employer from giving him those extra hours without paying overtime so they choose not to.

You seem to be assuming the labor laws regarding hours and children are good things. Don't feel bad, most people do but I encourage you to challenge that assumption. See if it withstands questioning.

  • Here's the deal folks: the banks are squeezing everybody and when their squeeze pushes some over the edge they have to squeeze those who remain all the harder. Look into Advanta Bank and what's happened to it, because that's the template for what's happening to the other major banks.

Ann Minch is fighting back, and so should you ... but if the banks have already pushed you under then you need to know how to fight against what comes next--and that's where my book comes in. Check my channel.

  • Well said Average Joe!!! I live on fixed income and I'm disabled 100% Iraq war vet. When these banks started raising my interest rate for no reason, I couldnt make my payments any more. They wouldnt even work with me, and the fees got so high that I became hopeless. I stopped paying my bills after never missing a payment in my life, I moved to another country where my standard of living is now good. I dont have much, but I would rather make a point then let them rape me.

  • There was a radio program on yesterday and the credit rep was telling the host that they have to jack the rates to pay back the government. So they admitted they ARE jacking up the rates but seem to think they are justified in passing their debt to the government on to the consumer.

  • YOUR A DICK!

  • this is what a bank deals with. and that is what boa is dealing with when it comes to ann minch. she's a deadbeat and a liar. ann minch is ignorant and she's built a legion of very ignorant followers. what she's doing by encouraging people to NOT pay their bills is the exact reason why consumers may get a rate increase to begin with. perhaps you should work in the credit card side of a bank to gain more insight. your views would change.

  • you also have to consider that banks are a business and banks are in business to loan money and make money. think in terms of a lender and not a consumer for a moment. now loan 20 people money and set the repayment conditions. now ask about the people who you gave money to from their friends and find out that they may or may not repay you and what is your course of action? some may pay you on time, some may be late, some may not pay you at all. in the end, you're losing money.

  • you don't really know if ann is responsible or not but i can assure you, i've worked in the credit card industry for 10 years and i've never once seen a rate increase as she mentioned. as for someone losing their job or being on disability, consider that credit card companies offer some variation of credit protection that'll pay anywhere from 12-24 month due to events as such. my wife had it on her card and used it when she was out on maternity leave. credit protection worked for us!

  • averagejyo, you're a little misinformed about ann minch's situation. it's easy for get on youtube and plead your case to the masses w/o telling the full story. if boa reps could disclose her info, the truth would be known and the world would see how telling a lie can spread exponentially. there's no such thing as getting 30% for 1 late payment. a rate like that is triggered after 2 or more lates in a 12 month period. i've asked her about that and she refuses to respond

  • I like OSU's first comment where he says Im right! I am right, that lady is ridiculous. She should have prepared more before she did that video.

  • Well if you getting screwed over by the credit card, don't live off it.

Credit is more of a luxury.

It's foolish to live off one.

No they want you indebted to them, the hungrier you are the more you'll do.

Beast is a mild term for the corperations.

  • OSU, I agree with plenty of your points, but RockerChic's first late payment, the one that caused this entire mess, was NOT reported to her by the BofA rep she spoke to on the phone the first time.

That's crapola customer service, and though I agree that shouldn't mean she gets absolved of her responsibility, someone needs to be accountable for that at B of A. That's ridiculous.

  • OSU, I would have to shoot another video to deal with all that you are writing about and I don't really feel like it. We are just not gonna see eye to eye on this. Let me say this though. You have no Idea what would of happened if there was no bailout. I don't either. Your SPECULATING. We also have no idea what will happen in the future, my big problem is that they are doing the same shit that caused this mess and no one is stopping it. So if they continue why would this not happen again?

  • OSU, I do respect your post but this bothered me. Here is a quote from your first comment, "So do not use the card and day no to the higher rates. They are very rate."

The very next line you say I really don't know what I'm talking about.

Now it looks like you just made a simple mistake, BUT you have defaulted on my no typo YouTube account and are subjected to a 30% YouTube interest rate hike. See how that works? Not to cool huh?

  • Average...that was sweet...so so good.

  • cont.. understand the bailouts. taxpayers will make alot of money off of the banks when the money is returned. these bailouts helped people out more than they know of. job loss rate would be above 20% right now if they didnt bailout the banks. it was bailing the banks out it was more bailing out the country. credit cards have always been risked based pricing and yes people that are responsible are getting screwed over but that is how credit works. banks have to charge the higher rates to cover

  • The true unemployment rate is at about 20%. What do you think these people are going to pay first? A roof over their head, food on the table and keeping the lights on. Do you think they give a rats ass about paying a credit card bill.. Do really think they care about their credit score? Besides everyone with credit or not has already paid all the bills through TARP and bank and financial institutions continue to pay their execs million dollar bonuses. For doing what?

  • people and credit card companies both need to take the fault for what is going on. Credit cards were not designed to carry balances on them month to month. People have lived out of their means and are the ones that got themselves into these situations. Credit card companies are at fault for giving out high credit card lines. People need to read up on how credit works before point fingers. I just hate how people think that the banks owe them because of hte bailouts. Most people do not

  • did you listen to her follow up video? she admitted to being late twice. It is her fault she deserves to have the higher interest rate. She defaulted on her agreement. People were given the opportunity to say no to the rate increases if they do not use the card anymore. So do not use the card and day no to the higher rates. They are very rate. You really do not know what you are talking about. I didnt see what Mark said but it sure sounds like he was right.

  • OK, I'm calling bullshit.

Who fought and died for the eight-hour work week? Who the fuck works eight hours anyway?

  • Andharvey just google "8 hour work day origin ." Its on the wikipedia page and others. Its our history bro look into it. It scares me that A. You had no idea about any of this and B. You just post hey this is BS and doubt this stuff without looking it up, Its so easy to find it. No disrespect to you, its a fair comment Its just weird that people don't know the history of the workers in this country and this is the history of the PEOPLE not the rich fat cats

  • OK, so I read the wiki page you mentioned

You're making this a little more dramatic than it actually is. Yeah, some people got shot by police in a protest, but people get shot in protests all the time, for protesting just about anything. (esp. before the invention of tear gas)

Neither is it obvious what the result of all that was. I work a lot more than eight hours a day; everyone I know does too. Is there a law on the books about this somewhere? Not in this country anyway.

  • Right, dramatic. If facts don't float your boat, I'm sorry but people did fight and die for many labor laws me and you don't have to worry about now. More people have died in these fights than you will know . Also read more about it, I don't wanna hold your hand through the entire labor history of the US but I'm sure you'd find this stuff interesting. Also don't read one wiki page and go on with your life thinking, "I'm an expert on that now." As far as the results, You find them!

  • Do your 10 year olds have to work in unsafe places? Is there minimum wages? I don't wanna go through all this but these are the things workers fought for that you glance over . I'm not a lawyer but there are so many labor laws that are there but if you choose to think they are not there or are unimpressive, I don't know what to do.

  • You are right, it's not fair...but legal to charge unwarranted, unexpected and outrageous amounts of money. Millions of People have been abused by Creditors. It's time people spoke out.

  • Luke, I am friends with Mark, so thats why I would take my time to shoot him a video. So after reading your well articulated comment I went to your profile to see what videos you had up and there was only one-The farting one!! I expected some really nerdy smart videos and saw the fart one and fell in love with you. Thanks for your great comment and kudos to you for working in, "AverageJoe" into your post.

  • Come on, Man, why are you devoting so much time to talk to Mark? You appear mentally fluid so why waste 8 plus minutes trying to explain an industry which as you smartly point out will say and do anything they want. How do you bend the will of institutions that based all their decisions on the bottom line? By cutting the floor underneath them, by taking their pie and reducing the size of their byte. Yes, they are Gigantic Gobblers, they eat the average joe for breakfast.

  • Thanks JTbaman its good to know I'm not alone in my views.

  • Bravo. Well articulated.

  • lol, Sorry the ums bother you. I decided to not worry about those things and i don't like editing my videos. But thanks for the info its helpful. Ummm bye ; ).

  • I agree

  • you say um alot....lol
