last time i went here there we ran into a couple of drunk locals who started firing there guns off. Scared the shit out of me. yall found the shack in the woods. the locals told me that the nurse used to take the wounded confederate soldiers out to the shack and kill them. oh and you didnt get any footage of the giant hole in the floor or the story behind it. freeky shit!

I just went there last weekend. It was fun, and scary, but I didn't see any ghosties. I might go back the weekend after next with an IR light and an EM meter.
On 2-22-08, I was let go from my job after 16 yrs. & 4 mos., so now I am unemployed. I am a 45 yr. old white male, local resident, Navy veteran & member of my local American Legion post. I will be a hard worker for whoever hires me. If you know of any prospects in Edgefield County, either reply or call 864-554-0517 between 8 a.m. & 10:00 p.m. I would be greatful for any help in my quest for new employment. Thanks. mkl62
haha my crazy cousins and i go down there just about every thanksgiving to check things out...we've never got caught but we did get stuck in that mud down there....when my aunts and uncle were younger (they grew up there...Turner family)they use to go down all the time and they have really cool stories of stuff they saw....i don't know if it's made up though...i haven't seen anything "ghostly" just an old building and a cool grave yard.
Why is it that you get to go out there with a camera an no one bothers you, but when I went in 2001 I was arrested for trespassing.
The land technically belongs to Steven Tillmer, who has a farm just down the road and is a member of the Edgefield County Historical Society. And apparently he gets pissed when people want to come see the site when it's a FUCKING HISTORIC LANDMARK. Rant over.
i herd you have to knock at the church and go back towards the bridge and......
find out by your self! :'['''

I agree though...that old fart shouldn't get mad when people want to see a historical landmark....he shouldn't have bought the freakin land!
