Lucky enough to be at this performance -- damn! Thanks for sharing. Truly one of the best live bands ever got to see, right up with Petty & The Heartbreakers. Nobody gives more on stage than Brent, 'cept maybe DBT's Patterson Hood. Long live da 'Bone!!!
SLOBBERBONE! I love this band, the 117 W. Pecan Crew bow to the power of this band! I sure miss all the local shows, those were the days. You all rock no matter what band you are in! Funnest live show around, More beer please!
Saw these guys at The Cabooze in Minneapolis opening up for Jason and the Scorchers. To say the least...it was a killer show. Slobberbone was great! I miss 'em........sigh
That's hardly an attack. Also, that guitarist is the guitarist in Brent's band, The Drams, so it seems unlikely that the little nudge caused any friction since the geetar guy is still his guitar player.
God I miss the Slobs - if ever a song was aching to be made into a film it's Billy Pritchard - a beast of a song! The Drams are too watered down and easy listening - good all the same, but not a scratch on the Slobs. I so wish I'd got the chance to see them here in the UK.
too bad you never saw them. live they were a real force to be reckoned with. even when they were opening for somebody and the crowd wasn't fully with them, they would pull something out of their hat that would make people notice. always an excellent time. the final toured was videotaped. hopefully something becomes of that soon. in the meantime, i'm gonna go crack a case of beer and get lost in a haze of drink. cheers...
Can't believe they didn't become huge in the US, prob too raucous for the country fraternity who prefer their Achey Breaky Heart stuff lol!, and too country (as if!!) for the rock lot.
Really? video of final tour? - that bloody well better get released!! Cheers mate for the info.
@PaddyGoo -- I wrote a few scenes but eventually scrapped the project. Brent even liked what little I'd done, thought it was some dark, twisted stuff. Left those days in the rearview, though agree 100% da mighty 'Bone trumps the still awesome Drams, fo' sho'.
yes...the drams arent as good. long live slobberbone..andlong live the shows i enjoyed in springfield illinois..they liked us so much we have our own song. ahh good times. RIP Slobberbone
You have to realize they toured for years as slobberbone, They had small success...after so long you have to realize its time to try something new...I love slobberbone and also agree i like them better than the drams. But you have to respect Brent and the crew for a new attempt at the business.

Wow, Brent attacked his geeTar playing man in the end. This attack led to their break-up.

I agree that slobberbone is much better than the drams but the drams are much better live.

@DieOnFire
Drams DON'T suck. Did you ever see them live? Whole different story. Then go back and listen to the CD again. It's all Brent Best and it's all good.
Keyboard is great too, by the way. They need a full time fiddle player.

Great band, kind of a more civilized Ghoultown.

but three-quarters of them are back, with two more (bass and keyboards) in a different incarnation, as the Drams. And they also rock.

This band rocks...Too bad they split.
