@SnoopyInTheBox what the hell ? even in the same genres you're insulting each other ? guys just go and stick a knife in your ass ... fucking immature fags . Just listen to the fucking good music and shut your fucking mouth up
God damn it. I know the pain my brother went through. But he died. So now I can't tell him those words and I'm stuck to appreciate this song by myself.
you'll never find a video on YouTube nowdays that does not have a single dislike, except for Alice in Chains. I'm 17 and I F*cking love them...hands down greatest band ever
@Joerynecox Cool, I know a few also from this show. Great songs. I'm not high on meth..... but this song gets me plenty high. I would bet my small life's savings on it. This is pure beauty!
This is the one clip that i remember that have zero dislikes, and it is a reason for it too. Alice in chains gets ur soul man, it opens you up and fills your body up with an out of world feeling. And i bet Layne is up in heaven and doing the same thing with kurt.
the hardest lessons are taught in fate, layne was never afraid of death as i am, im tearing up, you were so strong layne, i sware id never want to walk the stairway to heaven as healthy and full of potential as you two had too, but ill never know whats best for me.
@WweFan43970 well, they were 2 completely dif. styles, but for me, Layne's voice ws like a razor dipped in honey cutting through our hearts and soul. so deep but so sweet & satsifying! thanks God that is all I crave!
and this song epitomizes his heart-ripping and dwrenching style! God that is some awesome stuff!
that if the bro's that i had as a brother comthe that too as man and that have gained trust as a family !!! but r.i.p criag and have grace in resting in peace !!!
@beatlestoneful Hey - never too late to pick them up from this point and enjoy what they've done! I saw AIC open for Van Halen (1st tour w/ Haggar, hey, I was given free tix lol) at Brendan Byrne in NJ in 90'. They were so heavy that EVH's 15 min 1 handed solo barely saved VH's show. Then a few days after seeing them I saw the video for Man in the Box and was like holy shit there's that band! They became a MAJOR favorite of mine. The latest album within the past year is amazing btw.
@beatlestoneful Layne Staley will never be forgotten! I love the beatles too! But i grew up with this great music in the 90s. I hope you enjoy it . Try Nirvana unplugged and pearljam unplugged too !
@beatlestoneful Ive always drawn a paralell between the beatles and alice,so many similarities including a brilliant career full of great music that lasted less than 10 years. and of course, the harmonies
@beatlestoneful better late than never nd if u like this u should check other bands like mother love bone, stone temple pilots, soundgarden, pearl jam, temple of the dog, mudhoney etc.
@beatlestoneful Must have been doing other things during the greatest and most diverse decade for music, the 90's. I was a teenager, and guys like Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, Bradley Nowell, they were Gods among men. Music will once again be a beautiful thing, keep rockin on brother.
@majordundee32 you are the kind of assholes that always judge someone else so you feel better if he didnt kill himself then he would have probably overdosed later on when his daughter loved him even more. not saying thats his reason but back the fuck off
Not like anyone cares, but I'd just like to express that I definitely prefer this version over the studio version. I believe that the extra voice effect and the (what sounds like) woman's voice in the background during the chorus mars how meaningful and soulful this song is.
I care man and apparently so do others. You are right! These "unplugged" sessions are awesome and I feel so lucky that we have the chance to hear and see the soul and feelings that these awesome band(s) had! MTv picked some great bands and we were fortunate enough for the bands to perform these for us. Especially now that we can't see two of the best live- Layne Staley and Kurt Cobain RIP
i speak for most of us AIC fans that were almost brought to tears when we saw layne's degraded appearance... it brought chills down my spine due to the fact that no matter how much his body eroded his voice maintened it's magic and overall amazing awe-inspiring range it's truly impressive.
R.i.P Layne you shall be forever missed amongst the ones touched by your music,
its called natural talent the drugs gave him meaning to create more music fuel for the fire an addiction he could never battle but got relief through the music he created,
This is my favorite Alice song, and my favorite version. The duet is absolutely mesmerizing, and the solo just touches my soul in the part that hurts the most. I love how it seems they are singing the song to each other. The last verse a capella (or however you spell it!) is phenomenal!
my bro's been in germany for a couple weeks now, i'll get to see him in 5 days.. i'm glad he didn't get sick because he had to go over there right at the same time as the huge e. coli outbreak. I'm so proud of him, he's my role model and my hero
Gone through a lot of shit in my life, and i bet everyone else has....however extreme, to your life it is as hard as it gets. You can't compare that kind of crap. But this song, this band, this voice, has altered my perception on how certain things work or even as far as what really matters in life. Not everyone can get the same feeling or message from music, but i wouldnt stop anyone from trying to take a page from their book. R.I.P Mike and Layne. heaven or hell you are turning them upsidedown
Layne and Mike, we miss you so bad it hurts, I cant listen to this or Dont Follow or several others w/o getting tears in my eyes, and I damn sure aint afraid to admit that, call my a pussy if you want, but AIC music means the world to me and I cant wait to talk to Layne in heaven!!!!
This album still has the same affect on me like the first time i heard it. I fuckn love it!!!!
