  • isn't this song already unplugged?

  • @DCSk8der Yes, does that mean it shouldn´t be in the unplugged show?

  • 1 dislike!? Who the fuck could possibly hate this song??

  • @Maximus0129 a son of a bitch nirvana's fan...

  • @SnoopyInTheBox what the hell ? even in the same genres you're insulting each other ? guys just go and stick a knife in your ass ... fucking immature fags . Just listen to the fucking good music and shut your fucking mouth up

  • @joerynecox lmfao funny shit

  • Poor guy, you can see Layne is really really sick !! Such a waste, as are all deaths from drug addiction. Whatever you do, DON'T DO DRUGS !!!!!!!

  • Resolution is 240 but the talent makes it HD

  • God damn it. I know the pain my brother went through. But he died. So now I can't tell him those words and I'm stuck to appreciate this song by myself.

  • pisses me off when people put adds on videos that they dont own the rights too.. you're making money off other peoples work!

  • jerry cantrell is probably one of the best guitarists ever.

  • Ummm..my dark and beloved A.I.C.

    Never gets old!

    XX

  • Most underrated band in the history of music

    Its disgusting

  • one of the best vocal duets in the history of music

  • @bufo604

thats exactally what i was just thinking before i read your comment. so good together. i understand drug addiction personally. it fuckin sux.

  • fucking cried when layne first came out on this whole movie was like YAH! with tears. Fucking miss my grunge makers

  • you'll never find a video on YouTube nowdays that does not have a single dislike, except for Alice in Chains. I'm 17 and I F*cking love them...hands down greatest band ever

  • your on meth if you play an intrsument and dont learn this album

  • @XxTRIPPINGxxGUITARxX im on meth right now, im also learning this song right now.... already learned the rest in about 10 hours

  • @Joerynecox Cool, I know a few also from this show. Great songs. I'm not high on meth..... but this song gets me plenty high. I would bet my small life's savings on it. This is pure beauty!

  • @prba7 lol that was a joke man, i havent ever done meth... in the past 24 hours

  • @Joerynecox haha no worries.... i didn't think anything of it.... i assumed it was probably a joke.

  • so damn powerful.

  • Scarborough Fair would sound pretty wicked with Jerry and Layne

  • This song really reminds me of my little brother. .

  • Damn right 0 dislikes.

  • AMAZING. thats why it needs a bluray release ;)

  • Jerry and Alex Lifeson the two most under rated guitar players!

  • Two of my favorite guitar players, from two of my favorite bands! What's up with RUSH not getting the nod for the R&R Hall? I call bullsh*t.

  • This song is so good it made me cry.

  • Merry Christmas everybody. I love this song.

  • @atomichairball merry christmas and keep layne and mike alive hearing this masterpiece

  • AIC!

  • When I listen to them it makes me wanna shoot a bag of raw heroin into my vein.

  • @rdean45acp so your pain is self chosen?

  • when Jerry and Layne sing together it feels like all my problems just disappears and I just appreciate all the beauty in the world instead.

  • This is the first time I've listen to brother in 4 years. My brother died a few years ago and I couldn't ever bring myself to play this track

  • jerry cantrell is a fucking underrated guitarist

  • @JJJCC84 and vocalist!!

  • @JJJCC84 Oh I love him!

    XX

  • layne staley is the reason i wont do heroin...i hate heroin for taking him!!! DO DRUGS JUST NOT HEROIN

  • @Dwadebowling umm they can all lead to the death of a person just not heroine

  • I LOVE how they played the third verse with no music on the live version...

  • 3:41...you can't beat that

  • Three words... Best. Band. EVER.

  • i heard this album when i was 12...im 27 now and its still THE GREATEST live album ive ever heard!!!

  • This fucking PUBLICITY before the videos in Youtube is sucking hard, they have no respect for either the video and the listeners.

  • alice in chains tem pra ninguem é bom pra caralho !

  • Haberlos visto por fin ayer... maquinaria chile 2011..fue épico. como te extraño Layne!!! :(

  • 0 dislikes, says enough, doesn't it???!!!

  • haunting................

  • R.I.P. My brotha.

  • amazing

  • I get chills everytime it is just those two singing with no music!! They were definately a great combo!! Miss it!

  • Damn you Mike Inez and your hair. Bass-turd! Love him!

  • 56,000 viewer

  • This is the one clip that i remember that have zero dislikes, and it is a reason for it too. Alice in chains gets ur soul man, it opens you up and fills your body up with an out of world feeling. And i bet Layne is up in heaven and doing the same thing with kurt.

  • R.I.P. Mike Starr (I know thats Inez, dont spam me)

  • My favorite too - blows the studio version out of the water.

  • Way better than the studio...

  • Perfect.

  • Jerry and Layne are the Simon & Garfunkel of the 90's, without a doubt.

  • @Eelcov I totally agree!

  • @Eelcov Hmmm your name sounds familiar, did you used to play WoW on EU server Sunstrider?

  • @Eelcov thats an insult, id say theyre more like jimmy paige and robert plant bc atleast they werent gay

  • @3737jak haha completely agree

  • @Eelcov Or the John and Paul

  • @Eelcov Nay, Cantrell brought way more to the table than Garfunkle. Good comparison though!

  • this is way better than the album version. by far

  • the hardest lessons are taught in fate, layne was never afraid of death as i am, im tearing up, you were so strong layne, i sware id never want to walk the stairway to heaven as healthy and full of potential as you two had too, but ill never know whats best for me.

  • I would like put one dislike , but also i like alice AWW i don't know what i've to do

  • althought i respect layne for me kurt is god

  • @WweFan43970 well, they were 2 completely dif. styles, but for me, Layne's voice ws like a razor dipped in honey cutting through our hearts and soul. so deep but so sweet & satsifying! thanks God that is all I crave!

and this song epitomizes his heart-ripping and dwrenching style! God that is some awesome stuff!

  • zero dislikes!!!

  • I'M 54..and all this is brand new to me....god what fucking great songs!!!!How could I go all this time and not know about these guys!!!

  • @beatlestoneful hey man, its never too late as long as you find out. you can pm me if you want to know a lot of other great alice songs :D

  • @beatlestoneful Hey - never too late to pick them up from this point and enjoy what they've done! I saw AIC open for Van Halen (1st tour w/ Haggar, hey, I was given free tix lol) at Brendan Byrne in NJ in 90'. They were so heavy that EVH's 15 min 1 handed solo barely saved VH's show. Then a few days after seeing them I saw the video for Man in the Box and was like holy shit there's that band! They became a MAJOR favorite of mine. The latest album within the past year is amazing btw.

  • @beatlestoneful

Feels good discovering great music....AIC is an instant boner for me.

I think I felt the same way when I first heard them as well.

Either way, I'm sure I'll still be listening to them If/when I get to 54...

  • @beatlestoneful we never stop learning

  • @beatlestoneful Layne Staley will never be forgotten! I love the beatles too! But i grew up with this great music in the 90s. I hope you enjoy it . Try Nirvana unplugged and pearljam unplugged too !

  • @beatlestoneful Ive always drawn a paralell between the beatles and alice,so many similarities including a brilliant career full of great music that lasted less than 10 years. and of course, the harmonies

  • @beatlestoneful I know. AiC is something very special that gets me through the day

  • @beatlestoneful

your here now...that's all that matters.

  • @beatlestoneful check out mad season while you're at it

  • @beatlestoneful better late than never nd if u like this u should check other bands like mother love bone, stone temple pilots, soundgarden, pearl jam, temple of the dog, mudhoney etc.

  • @beatlestoneful Must have been doing other things during the greatest and most diverse decade for music, the 90's. I was a teenager, and guys like Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, Bradley Nowell, they were Gods among men. Music will once again be a beautiful thing, keep rockin on brother.

  • Definitely better late than never buddy! Congrats on your revelation! AIC 4 EVAH.

  • Happy Birthday Layne. You will truly be missed till the end of time. RIP my friend.

  • i rember rooster, brother, and nutshell, when i was like 4 int the car my dad blared this godliness

  • R.I.P Layne Staley you truely made a difffrence in this world. Your are gone but not forgotton!

  • Awesome.... \m/

  • Kurt Cobain was a suicide and his soul is burning in hell because of it. Appropriate don't you think?

  • @majordundee32 you are the kind of assholes that always judge someone else so you feel better if he didnt kill himself then he would have probably overdosed later on when his daughter loved him even more. not saying thats his reason but back the fuck off

  • THIS IS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!!

  • I think my favorite of their Unplugged set. It works so well with the simple, heartfelt acoustic and absence of production. This song is sincere.

  • Did you notice how they breathe together through most of the song?

  • you are so far away ! :(

  • Not like anyone cares, but I'd just like to express that I definitely prefer this version over the studio version. I believe that the extra voice effect and the (what sounds like) woman's voice in the background during the chorus mars how meaningful and soulful this song is.

  • @TheSvafnir this version is significantly better than the album version. Their best song period.

  • @TheSvafnir

I care man and apparently so do others. You are right! These "unplugged" sessions are awesome and I feel so lucky that we have the chance to hear and see the soul and feelings that these awesome band(s) had! MTv picked some great bands and we were fortunate enough for the bands to perform these for us. Especially now that we can't see two of the best live- Layne Staley and Kurt Cobain RIP

  • thats the bomb, 161 likes 0 dislikes!

  • maaan, this kicks nirvana's unplugged as at least in the singing they have so clear voices (im fan of both bands ,,,)

  • REALLY TOUCHING ! MEGA

  • i speak for most of us AIC fans that were almost brought to tears when we saw layne's degraded appearance... it brought chills down my spine due to the fact that no matter how much his body eroded his voice maintened it's magic and overall amazing awe-inspiring range it's truly impressive.

R.i.P Layne you shall be forever missed amongst the ones touched by your music,

    We all love you

  • ALICE IN CHAINS FUCKING ROCKS

  • Minha Banda Predileta

  • No your mistaken the Drugs destroyed him and ultimately took him out. Drugs are no good and cannot be condoned under any circumstances!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its called natural talent the drugs gave him meaning to create more music fuel for the fire an addiction he could never battle but got relief through the music he created,

  • friends don't let friends get haircuts! :D

  • how did he manage to pull such a powerful beautiful brilliant show off and was so waisted??? somehow he managed to do it so sad though

  • this song is so freaking beautifull

  • This is my favorite Alice song, and my favorite version. The duet is absolutely mesmerizing, and the solo just touches my soul in the part that hurts the most. I love how it seems they are singing the song to each other. The last verse a capella (or however you spell it!) is phenomenal!

  • this song is pure heart.

  • my bro's been in germany for a couple weeks now, i'll get to see him in 5 days.. i'm glad he didn't get sick because he had to go over there right at the same time as the huge e. coli outbreak. I'm so proud of him, he's my role model and my hero

  • Gone through a lot of shit in my life, and i bet everyone else has....however extreme, to your life it is as hard as it gets. You can't compare that kind of crap. But this song, this band, this voice, has altered my perception on how certain things work or even as far as what really matters in life. Not everyone can get the same feeling or message from music, but i wouldnt stop anyone from trying to take a page from their book. R.I.P Mike and Layne. heaven or hell you are turning them upsidedown

  • @doonie926 dude, that moved me

  • soul music.my favorite from this show..''don't you run away. like you used to do..''

  • @indica831 haha you love dudes. homo

  • I'm crying...this music, Layne, comes directly to my soul.

  • Layne and Mike, we miss you so bad it hurts, I cant listen to this or Dont Follow or several others w/o getting tears in my eyes, and I damn sure aint afraid to admit that, call my a pussy if you want, but AIC music means the world to me and I cant wait to talk to Layne in heaven!!!!

  • Great song for the two of them to sing together! Especially after the guitar solo as the music stops.

  • R.I.P. Layne forever in our hearts

  • With all due respect for Kurt Cobain, I can only say that Layne officially kicked his butt.

  • nossaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,que som bom !

  • wonder...

  • wat a song layne amazing

  • Love the Unplugged Version:)
