I watched an episode of this show and I couldn't get into it because there were too many one-liners and short sentences. The Sarah Jane Adventures is 100 times better.

Please stop blaming this on America. We made some good sci-fi when we don't mess with British traditions. Star Trek, Babylon 5, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica. There are other parts of the Empire to blame.

Listen Everyone, watch the first episode of this series on TV or online and you will see the ORIGINAL K-9 DOG but he self combusts fighting an alien in the professors home leaving behing just some sort of mechanical brain which they put into a machine thing and it generates this new version of K-9. I agree it doesn't look as good and does sorta mess up SJA AND DR WHO a bit but take it as a different TV series and this show is really quite good.

@pegeser This is the doctor who K9 but is not cannon(basicly it not part of Dr.Who story line and never will be) because it is not made by the BBC so they were not alowed to have and doctor who refrences(so his memory was erased)and BBC own the rights to K9's old and real design so he was not allowed it in this.
I read that this K-9 unit was created by Proffessor Marius (creater of the first K-9) after he got back to Earth, i also seem to recall that The Doctor in 'School reunion' said there were four K-9s .
#1 went with Leela.
#2 went ith Romana.
#3 was left with Sarah Jane Smith.
This must be the fourth, the fact that The Doctor refrenced it suggests that it is taking place in the newly revised Dr.Who Universe.
I read up on this series and i have found out this is k-9 is not related to the doctor who series in a sense. And it is very unlikely for them to have a cross over with the doctor who universe so I'm not worried at all about this series. Bob Baker owns the rights to K-9 but the Original Character Design is own by the BBC.
Hm-this one looks like it might be better-of course avid fans are going to know sweet k-9 was always the Doctor's to begin with no matter what happens...
Also all you people who say the show is crap, look before you leap, it's like judging a book by it's cover, this show is actually quite good in not just my opinion but thousands of overs, it has gotten a cult following and guess what there is a second season well underway.
2:12 and 2:20, anyone who has seen the entire series, knows these creatures aren't in series 1. The fishman chatting with Jixie and Mr. Wiffy and the cyborg zombie commanding a legion of it's followers.

No, the one with Sarah-Jane is K-9 mark 4. This one is K-9 mark 1, somehow, he escaped the Timewar because mark 1 stayed on Gallifrey with Leela. I've watched all of the episodes and they are quite good.

I totally agree with the keeping the kids entertained, but isn't that what Sarah Jane Adventures is for? SJA actually works and is properly and is intertwined with Doctor Who + has the real K9. This K9 program just doesn't cut it for me, but thats just my opinion :P p.s yes I'm a big kid XD

In my opinion the show is great. He blew up after protecting the above ^^ and regenrated into this. You can diss the show all you want:

K9 is just amazingly hilarious!
He's so verbose. I mean, he's a big, ugly, and disney raped this tidbit of Dr. Who as if it was an ass, and shoved a giant medeival mace up it, and this is a spiked, with the spikes pointing forwards, and just shoving it rapidly, and thoroughly roughly back and forth, not listening to the being's cry for mercy as it's sphincter bleeds profusely, and then, after it pauses, it continues the ravaging, with something even more painful, a curling iron!

Listen Everyone, watch the first episode of this series on TV or online and you will see the ORIGINAL K-9 DOG but he self combusts fighting an alien in the professors home leaving behing just some sort of mechanical brain which they put into a machine thing and it generates this new version of K-9. I agree it doesn't look as good and does sorta mess up SJA AND DR WHO a bit but take it as a different TV series and this show is really quite good.

@pegeser This is the doctor who K9 but is not cannon(basicly it not part of Dr.Who story line and never will be) because it is not made by the BBC so they were not alowed to have and doctor who refrences(so his memory was erased)and BBC own the rights to K9's old and real design so he was not allowed it in this.

I read that this K-9 unit was created by Proffessor Marius (creater of the first K-9) after he got back to Earth, i also seem to recall that The Doctor in 'School reunion' said there were four K-9s .
#1 went with Leela.
#2 went ith Romana.
#3 was left with Sarah Jane Smith.
This must be the fourth, the fact that The Doctor refrenced it suggests that it is taking place in the newly revised Dr.Who Universe.

I read up on this series and i have found out this is k-9 is not related to the doctor who series in a sense. And it is very unlikely for them to have a cross over with the doctor who universe so I'm not worried at all about this series. Bob Baker owns the rights to K-9 but the Original Character Design is own by the BBC.

No, the one with Sarah-Jane is K-9 mark 4. This one is K-9 mark 1, somehow, he escaped the Timewar because mark 1 stayed on Gallifrey with Leela. I've watched all of the episodes and they are quite good.

@toomanyaccounts - I dont mean this to sound funny if it does :P buuut, you say Australia and Europe have this...I live in the UK, am such a Doctor Who nerd and have never ever heard of this program. I totally agree with the keeping the kids entertained, but isn't that what Sarah Jane Adventures is for? SJA actually works and is properly and is intertwined with Doctor Who + has the real K9. This K9 program just doesn't cut it for me, but thats just my opinion :P p.s yes I'm a big kid XD
