I disagree. The strikers wouldn't last 10 seconds if they didn't also work on their ground game but obviously they will favor their strengths. MMA shouldn't be about having an all-round game - that's why a lot of fights these days are boring.

you see alot of strikers that hit the ground, they are fucked...sokodju, Rumball, ben rothwell, and so on....The strategy to MMA is about setting the pace you want, having the fight where you want it, and sticking to your strengths while exploiting your opponents weaknesses...If a fighter can dictate where the fight goes and how it goes, that takes alot more skill to do that then to throw a lucky haymaker and connect...And strikers get alot more respect than ground fighters
