to be honest i was supprized with the tooth paste thing because i do something similar to that when i brush my teeth. i just bye a tube of paste and when i need to brush my teeth i just squirt into my mout then take a sip of water and gargle. i know gross. but hey it makes your breath smell nice for like 5 hours dont believe me then try it yourself and it does clean your teeth too.
