I haver never in all my life dealt with a company like wickedlasers . I'm amazed none of your consumer protection agencies have not closed these JOKERS DOWN !

Of all the hundreds of purchases I have made from the uk to the US.....not one......not one company or individual has ever tried to con me , rip me off or failed to deliver the goods.........WL have managed all three !

its not because of its power... 532 is nearly the MOST visible color to the human eye.. All greenies appear brighter than other lasers. A 10mw greenie of mine shows up 10 times brighter than my 300mw red..

is a purple 405nm appear brighter than a green laser, 5mw 405nm to a 30mw 532nm? which is brighter?

the 5mw violet will actually be much more dim than you might suspect. 30mw of 532nm will be tens of times brighter. You could easily use that much green to starpoint at night. 5mw of violet, will not show a beam unless there is enough smoke or fog used to view it. I hope this helps..

There's a reason why all the wickedlaser lasers have the "laser beam" added with a graphics program for the adverts. It just isn't like that unless you get some substantial water vapour in the air.

Shine any handheld laser in proper sunlight in the open air and you will see zilch. Except for the dot. If it's powerful enough.

5mW Green ftw. The rest is just making the beam brighter and being able to burn things. Starting with a hole in your wallet.

But you cant get all the stuff like the diode and things 20 bucks. You need expencive crytals and drives and other things, aswell as expencive equipment to align the crtyals... but its probley like $800 bucks over priced..

Diode lasers dont use crystals. Only Ruby lasers use a (Liquid)crystal, Unless your refuring to a timeing crystal used in circuity and those are pennys on the dollar. As for a driver you do realize a driver is rather simple and cheap to make for a diode laser, Hell even a Gas laser driver is simple its the PSU that becomes expensive at that point. But honestly sounds like you know nothing about electronics.

u only diodes u can get are red, violet and IR tho. you can get Green diodes but there often low powerd and expencive. The vast majorty of lasers are dpss. So they have a IR diode that passes throught coulour-changing crystals. It would be EXTREAMLY unlickly that this is a diode laser.

Correct and no so correct, You can buy up to 100watt Diodes with a diode frequency-doubled built in on mouser electronics. There is no cilibration required for these diodes outside of PWM corrections, However the advertisement claims of wicked lasers are misleading. they dont go by output power they go by imput wattage. You usely dont have to deal with YVO4coated mirrors or "pumping" for such low end diodes.

i completely understand your logic and can't answer that, all i know is that even in lab conditions (ie no dust at all present) a laser beam is clearly visible. doesn't air itself reflect light, that is why the sky is blue (but true enough, if it only reflects blue light then...)

i know absolutlly nothing about lazers but from the videos ive seen it shows that the higher the MW the clearer the beam, with or without dust dust just makes it a bit clearer

i figured that one out, it's pretty obvious really. air contains moisture. even the most dry air. and that is what reflects the light (and obviously dust if there is any present, but in lab conditions it is the moisture)

Spyder from Wicked Lasers sucks it is $1700 and only 300mw MAX if you want a serious laser then the Hulk Ultra from Dragon Lasers is $1500 and 600mw both expensive but the spyder is a total RIP OFF the hulk is twice the power and you get what u pay 4
