We had one laying in the sun in our driveway all flat just like that. We thought there was something wrong with him at first because we had never seen squirrels flatten out like that. SO CUTE!
They are just trying to cool off! We see them on the lawn doing this all the time during the summer - if you have ever laid down on the grass you will see how cool it feels. They have of course have a fur coat so every bit of coolness helps.

be carefull it might be rabid.. rabis dosn't nessicarily mean foaming at the mouth. it might just be in the disoriented stage.
