  • what a muscle car is supposed to sound like.

  • That sounds wonderful. I wish my neighbor "bothered" me with music like that.

  • @5191keith I did! Its on my youtube channel entitled "Mustang burnout 1". Enjoy!

  • Ford For Life!

  • 9 Phags drive imports and chevys

  • What rear rims dimension?

    And back space

    THANKS!

  • @glavina01 They are 15" rims, 10" wide. I do not have the backspace measurement handy. I could probably go out and measure it this weekend if you need me to. The tires are P295/50R15.

  • @428cobrastang I really appreciate the time that you spending helping me and It would really help me if you could measure backspace.could you by the way send few more photos of car .glavina01@gmail.com .Thanks again

  • @glavina01 The back space is 5 7/8". More video on my youtube channel.

  • hey mr euro hows the top fuel racing over there ? I would rather have 8 4.4 inch pistons that make 495 ft lbs at 3500 then 10 3 inch pistons that makes 310 ft lbs at 10000 lol

  • hey mr euro hows the top fuel racing over there ?

  • BEST SOUND AT 0:18!!!!!!!

  • not to mention its a BIG BLOCK V8 not a 4L reving to 8 or 9k rpm low rpm's is needed for torque cant move a heavy car with little torque

  • If it idled a bit slower I could count the firing order.

  • WHat exaust did you go with to quiet it down?

  • @saw426 I went with the 3" stainless Magnaflow system with X pipe. Also added dumps and electric cutouts so I could have lots of sound at the touch of a switch.

  • i like the way you think

  • now theres a hemi killer right there those were the only engines that could compete with the hemis in the 60's sure as hell gm couldnt make any decent engine they still dont all their big blocks are crap

  • @FordF15004 Lol you’re SO obviously a Ford fan. Lighten up. The big block Chevy is one of the best of the older style engines. In fact, I think I remember an article that compared a 460 Ford to a 454 Chevy. They built the two as close as possible, same cam, etc. but the Chevy still ended up with a HP advantage courtesy of its canted valve heads. Chevys like to breath. The Ford also costs a little more.

  • @Warblade118 see this is how shit gets started on youtube. u get some guy ( you in this case) that comes in a ford video and starts talking shit or saying chevys engines are better. in my book, chevy is ALMOST as bad as a nissan. im sorry but i HATE chevy. so just quite. i dont care about shitty chevy or their duraturd diesel trucks.

  • @SMpaintball78 Were did i say Chevy is better? Does it bother you that I’m OBJECTIVELY citing what I saw in Hot Rod magazine (it may have been Car Craft, I don’t remember exactly and its not that important) to someone insisting big block Chevy is crap? Don’t get mad at me. I didn’t conduct the test. Even so it only stands to reason that a canted valve head would have an advantage over standard inline valves, just like the Hemi has an advantage over both canted and inline valve arrangements.

  • BIG american engines sounds like a fishingboat..... ha ha ha It might be strong but come to Europe and see how a REAL V8 is built!!!

  • I was in Europe the entire month of April and the only V8 I saw was in a Corvette in Brussels. Lots of tiny euro cars and a couple of nice Ferraris that sounded fantastic. What is the real European V8? I would love to hear one, do you have a youtube link?

  • @428cobrastang

What is the real European V8? some examples here; In Europe we have a V8 engine for every ocasion:

    1. the Sportscar: ex. Ferrari 458 ITALIA... all Handmade..

    2. the GT: ex. Aston-Martin DBS/Vantage again handmade...

    3. the Limo: ex. Mercedes-Benz S class V8, Not handmade but Quality built...

    4. the 4WD: Range-Rover V8... for Durability.... World Famous....

    5. the Cabrio: ex Mercedes SLR Mclaren Convertible ... AMAZING CAR..

Have I missed any on the Euro V8 list?

  • @hernandezrivas Not sure on the V8 list, but you mention some very fine cars indeed! I would like to not only hear one but also go for a ride to experience the performance.

  • @428cobrastang he doesent understand american muscle or power just fuel injection and electronic chips

  • @hernandezrivas

Ha ha "come to Europe and see how a REAL V8 is built" Ha I have a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 4.6L V8 312,000 miles on it. My dad was the original owner, and now I use it as a road car. Almost all original parts except for the EGR valve. In August I drove it from the L.A area to Lake Havasu, cruising at 95-100 in the desert. Come to the U.S. and see how a real V8 is bilt

  • @hernandezrivas very expensive cars there bud why would you even compare then to a mustang like cmon

  • @hernandezrivas lol at range rover being durable, British cars are garbage for durability

  • @hernandezrivas Stop believing Top Gear like if it was the bible, it's ilogical to compare a 3 or less year old 100+ thousend euro car with a 30 year old classic muscle car... Actually, that muscle car is pretty good. Any of the 60's and early 70's muscle car could beat for example, the 60's and 70's porsche 356 and bad handling 911s. I'm not saying America is the best, im in fact european, im talking about fair comparasions... Ah. Audi makes some nice V8s too.

  • @hernandezrivas Go for a drive in a ZR1 and tell me about European V8s.

  • @hernandezrivas Range Rover was only durable when it was owned by Ford.

  • @straightedge442

Of course........Range Rover wasnt introduced till 70's (therefore built by shoddy factory workers) The designs were near on perfect for its purpose.

    And i've had a '92 Vogue SE with 4.2 V8. Barely a thing wrong with it. :]

  • @428cobrastang

mustangs are my fav cars, but still you can't say that the sound of a lamborghini or of a ferrari isn't amazing (and f*cking loud)

  • @hernandezrivas lol....

  • @hernandezrivas hahahahaa lol

  • @hernandezrivas lol sike. dont even get me stared on european v8's nothing can beat a good old american v8.

  • @hernandezrivas Real V8.....LOL! That's seriously some funny shit. Moron.

  • @hernandezrivas

Well, nice to hear your opinion. I don't care much for how you criticize the sound of american v8's and how you say "real" v8's are in europe. Personally, i believe the best v8's are Fords Modular, chevrolets LS, Mercedes v8's are almost always good, and Dodge with their srt and rt 8 cylinders.

I've seen the most impressive features come from these v8's.

  • @hernandezrivas You say this isn't a real V8 and yet, it's a 40 year old car that is still in mint cherry condition driving the streets. The only V8's i see in Europe are $200k Brand new 2011 Ferrari's and the like, like you listed below. You call those well built but they've only been around for a year or two, where's the real muscle cars? The ones from 40 years ago? Oh...wait. There are none. All you have are plastics. Have fun with your "real" v8's. You don't know what you're missing though.

  • @hernandezrivas

the only european car that has anything close to a real engine is the bugatti veyron

and nothing else. a stock carbon zr1 vett is faster and sounds better than any crapy V12 ferraris.

europe wouldnt know how to build a good car if the country depended on it.

  • @hernandezrivas Well... Any old engine wherever it comes from will sound like that being set on a low idle. That probably has a super low idling point plus probably modified exhaust. Stock it would sound more like a normal engine. Anyways. Are you comparing a 30 year old car to those modern "european V8s"? A 1970's mercedes AMG will sound like that. A Ferrari dino will sound like that. A 70's aston martin V8 Vantage will sound like that.

  • @hernandezrivas is that a joke? the V8 was born to be an American engine and will alllways be made better in the U.S. that anyware else! I would like to know what other country can compete with what the U.S. has done with the V8!

  • damn i thought the 351 clevo sounded like sex, that is just pure sin!! :-)~

  • you can here it gallop just at idle

  • oh hell ya

  • It's just another piece of classic art work.

  • 428 will rip your face off

  • what are glasspack mufflers?

  • Well, to look through them internally, it is a straight pipe with perforations, between the perforations and the outer shell of the muffler they are packed with a type of fiberglass.

  • oooo thax... what i was thinking was totally off ^_^

btw your car is awesome and i am going to steel it. ok?

  • are the super comp headers the only thing done to the engine? are they huggers?

  • There is very little room for headers but they are not "huggers". Put in a Comp 275DEH cam, balanced, and many other aftermarket adds. Wanted a streetable car that would keep going without a lot of maintenance.

  • damn i was hoping thats all it was. i really like that sound i have hooker supercomp huggers and getting 3 inch pipes with glasspacks but havent put any of it on. i figured mine would sound simliar, but its a sbc not ford

  • It will still sound good! The biggest difference is that a big block moves a lot of air and has a different exhaust sound than a small block. Put that exhaust system on and have fun!

  • oh i bet your neighbors love you haha

  • In 1978 my buddy bought a 1969 Mach 1 with a 428CJ for $3000 . He put headers and an intake manifold on it. Damn thing was fast as hell. He eventually totaled the car in 1982 (hit a bridge abutment) and sold the engine for $600.

  • what grind is the cam? sounds like a healthy bumpstick you got in that motor.

  • why quiet xD

  • Beast...

  • Sweet! All American Muscle! Good job man! I'm picking up my '73 Firebird 400 next week, I can only hope she'll be as quality of a car as yours when I'm done restoring her!

  • What motor? I will be watching for some video!

  • Right now, it has a clone Oldsmobile 400...I', debating between either a 383 stroker (professionally built, blue printed and balnaced) 500 + HP engine, or a blown 454...the price is the same between companies, I just need to figure out if I want to replace the Formula hood with a standard hood that can be cut out to allow the blower! LOL! I'll post videos in the next week or so (my schedule permitting), and we'll see how it goes!

  • Ahh, the cool factor of a blower! I would like to put one on my engine some day...

  • Blower would be cooler...stroker less trouble.

  • that's one beautiful car you got there man

  • "Chrysler invented the Hemi" HAHAHAHAHA..... No, the Hemi (half-a-sphere) type head was an old design when Chrysler picked it up in the 50's. The Miller indianapolis engine had it, Meyer Drake etc. Many European pre-WWII cars had a similar design, as did the 4 cyl Crosley cars in America and many others. Drag Racing itself "invented" the Hemi's reputation when their Fuel (Nitromethane) Dragster classes began posting fantastic speeds exemplified by Don Garlits and others.

  • lmao i bet the neighbors werent too happy. I would be tho haha

  • I have my sound turned halfway down and it still makes my speakers give me destructive interference. That's tight. My truck sounded like that a bit, and the only thing it had on it were straight pipes and Cherry Bomb glasspacks, plus a Holley 4-carb. You should check it out on my profile, I just wished it woulda lasted longer than two hours... TT^TT

  • I just busted a nut hearing that... LOL... wicked sick man! : )

  • no such thing as too loud!

  • the 427 is cool

    the 428 is cooler

    the 428cj is even cooler

the BOSS 429 is a "hellzyeah"

but the 429cj is a "FUCK YEAH!!"

  • i had a 71 torino cobra 429 cobra jet i kick my self every day thinkin how great it would be to still have that car

  • dude the boss 429 is way better than the 429 cj... the boss was fords version of the hemi.

  • boss was fords retaliation to the hemi the boss 429 had a "semi hemi" design

and the boss 429 is extremley rare.

correct me if im wrong but werent only like 68 boss 429s made for 1969?

  • I believe Ford came out with the hemi design before dodge ever did. dodge just coined the "Hemi" when ford called it crescent.

I could be completely wrong though.

  • that could be true too i dont knowALL the facts but that theroy works as well

  • It was an experiment done on old for flathead engines of the 30's, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't ford's experiment.

  • I'm 99% sure that Chrysler invented the Hemi. :)

  • I'm not sure about that but the first 429 ever built and the first 1969 Mustang were paired together in early 1968 For Mickey Thompson... there were actually 3 of them a Red, Yellow, and Blue. All have since been long gone except for the blue one.. I believe its owned by somebody in Mickey's family.

  • lucky

  • 1969 there were 859 Boss 429's made

    In 1970 there were 499 Boss 429's

  • Only when modified did the 429 BOSS outperform the CJ motors. 429 BOSS was built as a high RPM screamer that lacked the low end torque of a 428CJ. Even the 429CJ's didn't have as much low end torque as the 428CJ - chiefly because of their shorter strokes. The big BOSS motors had the most potential once you started modifying them.

  • The BOSS 429'S were set up for NASCAR. The engine was actually a detuned NASCAR unit.

  • thank the lord for big block fords

  • very nice ride, sweet sound. the suspension must be awesome too, cause that car doesnt move for nothin, when you stomp on the gas. again love the american muscle cars. after my motor is reinstalled i will have to do an exhaust clip. i have a 62 lincoln.

  • damn thats a sound you dont hear everyday! nice stang man

  • that thing growls so loud it sounds like its gonna eat me

  • My goodness. The Mopar and Chevy guys only WISH they could make their rides sound this good!

  • @jakeandaim07 My dad's Camaro sounds just as good as this? So did his Mustang. He owns both a chevy and a ford and both of them are just as good as the other. What's with the brand name hate?

  • @cobalt1747

brand name hate is from companys not building cars the way they used two in the 50's-70's ford and chevy cars would last well over 200,000 but the way there built today they barely make 100,00 miles. today ford and chevy make piece of crap cars to make more money. after selling the car for 30k they charge anoth 10k in parts over the 5 years of ware and tear.

but manly each company has great stuff. a ford cobra engine and a chey tranmission,

  • @jakeandaim07 chevys just cant sound good period XD every one of them i hear sounds like a fat lady taking a shit and then i get to hear nice lifter ticking lmao and they say my trucks badass

  • why did u wanna take the glasspacks of they are damn nice to scare girls :D

  • those glasspacks sound damn good

  • hahaha.. glasspacks sound better then most of the high dollar brands today... ntohing beats a glasspacked muscle car

  • Glass packs are awesome i dont know why you think they are old school though? give me your thought on why they are old school

  • because they were first made in 1963 by cherrybomb as a result of kids wanting to make their cars sound like the racecar drivers on tv. they were used stock on 1966 shelby gt 350 also.

  • Nice! take care of her (the car)

  • what kind of rims do you have?

they look like rims that i had but i broke one so i just want to know what type they are.

  • The rims are Centerline "Auto Drags" in satin finish. Summit carries them.

  • Damn! makes my palms sweat and my heart race. I love muscle cars! They just don't make em' like they used to.

  • that darn timing was never meant for idlingsounds perfect!

  • nice whip

  • talk about turning some heads

  • the great muscle car!

  • That is just sexy. Take care of that car, them things are impossible to find.

  • man that thing is a BEAST :]

  • I think i wet my pants... :D

  • there is no other better sounds that could put a smile on my face...

  • That car is just begging to be raced

  • video dont work anymore? ='(

  • Its still working for me, try it again!!!

  • yea theres the video :) thanks I love this stang lol

  • God bless the FE. One of a kind sound.

  • I just got a hard on...

  • please come over an leave a stripp on my street

  • keep the glass packs-who cares the neighbours-:)

  • dont u dare take off the exaust who the fuk cares bout car alarms

  • ok..leave this exhaust on. who cares about car alarms, thats just fuckin sweet

  • Nice ride!

    Horsepower Profiles. Com

  • what do u run with that thing!?!?

  • can i have it, please, IM SERIOUS! I live at 1420 bacons br... this is a bad idea isn't it

  • how much? :)

  • goosebumps!!

  • goosebumps!!

  • i have a 428cj in a 69 torino and it kicks ass

  • what style tranny is in that stang, cuz to the best of my knowledge its a fe style tranny right. and my reasons 4 askin is cuz im pickin up a super cj or should i say stealin a cj 4 what im payin but the 78 bird that im puttin it in has a c6 and the guy swears up and doun that the 428s havea c6 pattern to is. sorry to bug u on that

  • God yes. Theres something about a V8 that makes me get goosebumps. I don't think anybody could say anything bad about that car...Oh god yes!!!! It sound perfect. ol school like. My Capri is loud,Fast,And quick...BUT its missing that awesome V8 sound. I envy it.

  • how many jack ass bmws try to race you? i wonder who wins....you =]

  • BMWs dont got shit i raced one with my dads ranger it was a 325 ci or something and the ranger had a 2.9 V6 with a 5 speed and i won

  • You are the king of streets.

  • ^^lol'z^^

  • god bless the Ford FE!

  • sounds good man nice stang

  • oh shit, i want my r-code mustang back, i sold the car for 6 years ago, for 9500 dollar...

  • oh man bad move. i just bought a 69 SCJ for $60000

  • is this your everyday driver? why would you want it more muffled >:P

  • Way too hard on the ears if you go any distance at all. Its just right now for long distance and I put on electric cutouts to make it even louder than before at the touch of a switch....

  • ya can't beat cutouts

  • what is the difference between a 427 abd a 428

  • 1 cubic inch

  • Thats what I was thinking! Any way, 427 has shorter stroke/bigger bore for net loss of "about an inch".

  • Actually a 427 was closer to 425 cubes - but I know you were just trying to be funny.

  • hell yea man that stang sounds bad ass, thats one strong pony there

  • Wow, very powerful sounding, and very nice car. 5 stars

  • holy christ can i trade you my truck for that thing? :)

  • I've got 351w mach...wish it was a cj...but...oh well....cool car.

  • oh wow...so jealous...dont quiet her down....pleaseee

  • I did it, its a lot quieter now. However, I did put electric cutouts on so its loud when I want! Check out my new burnout videos.

  • thats kool

  • I bet u can hear that from 1/2 a mile!

  • that is one mean sounding car!

  • want to give me that for free? :)

  • The Ford from hell! Nice car!

  • sound very nice

  • GAWD thats a BEAST

  • I love loud exhaust, but that sounds too raw... get somthing on it other than pipe. Some good old flowmaster 40's would sound awesome.

  • wow, you cant read. It's got 3" Glasspacks. Any v8 with Glasspacks is just fine the way it is. Learn to read and listen.

  • Must be collecter bolt on glasspacks cuz I can't see em. Besides, i've heard some pretty shitty sounding V8's with glasspacks... and remember, not all glass packs are created equal.

  • I suppose so. But you should have been able to read and tell that it was glasspacks.

  • Don't believe any o what you read and only half of what you hear didn't sound like packs to me but my experience with CJ motors has been limited. I tried to put up a vid of my slightly modded 302 with headers and straight pipes, lets ee if he puts it through. otherwise, check out my vids.

  • Loud pipes are for inconsiderate jerks. Have fun annoying anyone within 100 yards of your car.

  • If you were a little more literate you would've read

the post and known he's changing to a quieter

    exhaust.

  • thanks for pointing that out, but I don't see the glasspacks. Why are you all so testosterone filled? I was suggesting a muffler for his "quieter exhaust" so try and read between the lines. Nice Arab drift video btw XD

  • That's half the fun with having dragpipes---no mufflers!

  • does it move? or just sit there and look pretty?

  • i CAN NOW SLEEP LIKE A BABY!! damn if i hear this car in person i will die a very happy man!

  • how bout u show us a burnout or an all out run in the quarter next time?

  • I think a burnout is in the future.........

  • Holy shit I would piss my pants if I pulled up next to THAT at a stoplight.

  • cherry bombs available at autozone
