  • what song did you play around 3:00? Ive heard that from a PGS demo of the mjm london fuzz ii before!! :D

  • @Nimrod9458 that was a speedy version of Jeff Beck's 'Led Boots' - a great tune!!

  • what is that resonance chord on 3.28? ty

  • @00DirectorsCut00 it's a Cadd9 - A form

  • Dude! I am seriously digging your playing man!

And the pedal sounds super sweet too! Kinda subtle, but in a very good way.

I'm wondering though; does it do a serious, more obnoxious sort of ringmod thing aswell, or is it mostly octavia? (I mean, apart from the compressor stuff of course!)

    Keep it up!

  • @francescotaranto90 yeah, it's more of an octavia thing... not a gain pedal by any means...

  • is the button annoying to push?

  • @FarmedCars if you find the sound of the pedal annoying, quite possibly!! : )

Seriously, it's a button that takes some force - you won't toggle it on or off by just touching it with your foot - there's a definite 'click' to it.

  • whats the first thing he played

  • @ChrisONGuitar1 I was just vamping a 12 bar thang, just improv

  • @ChrisONGuitar1 it looks like : doobie brothers-long train running

  • sweet playing and sweet pedal too. it seems like the camera is picking up more of the guitars acoustic sound and not the actual sound coming out of the amp though

  • I agree that the camera picked up too much of the guitar's acoustic properties, and for me this impaired being able to actually hear the nuances of the pedal.

  • I think I am like the rest of the people so far. You did great playing but i do not see the need for the pedal. Maybe it is the recording but with or without the pedal I could not tell a noticable difference.

  • Good stuff bro.

  • Great playing man!

  • To be honest i liked your sound better with the pedal off. It was lovely! The green ringer thing is pretty cool though but i didn't really like the compressor.

Your a great player either way!

  • Amazing playing dude!

  • Nice!

  • Led Boots! Great demo, I so want to build this pedal.

  • you really lose some high end with the orange.

  • I love this video!

Nice tone, but GREAT playing :D

  • Sick tone and playing man...great stuff.

  • dude! your bypass sounds better than the effect on.

  • Great Playing and Sick tone! congrats dude!!!

  • absolutely SICK playing man.

  • This is a really cool sounding pedal...

  • Anybody noticed that stratMN has reversed his control board?

  • yeah, when I had a Tele I did the same thing. turn the plate around, put the volume closer, the tone in the middle and the switch to the back. It keeps you from hitting the pup selector when you are playing. Handy little trick I learned from a big Nashville player.

  • wow, great demo... what brand of tele?

  • 2:40 damn

  • Nice playing mate. You remind me of john Squire (Seahorses days) a bit. Cool pedal too!

  • Is the compressor pretty transparent or does it have a lot of that snappy rubberband character to it?

  • haha!!! YES...you sold me when you played the Jeff Beck bit. I'm making me one asap! THANKS

  • Killer demo! Awesome playing. What kind of Kinman pickups are you using? The Tele Kinmans or the Broadcaster set?

    Thanks!

  • Dude! Great playing! What amp? I'm looking to build a 18watt clone with PS. Thanks!

  • Thanks - the amp in the video is what you are describing building - this is a GDS 18 watt clone that I had a power scaling circuit installed in. Highly recommended!

  • Great playing and sounds on this vid mate.

  • thats the exact guitar im buying tomorrow btw!

  • do you have 6 fingers??

  • How did you go about painting and silk screening it?

  • Patience! Basically, spray paint for base coat, inkjet decals for the lettering, then clear coat over the top once they're dry. Before applying the decals tho - spray them with a light coat of the clear to keep the ink on them from running. Easily triples the time you would take to just assemble it and be done with it. :)

  • gotta get one now. great job.

  • DAMN DUDE! VERY GOOD PLAYING! very bluesy. im impressed.

  • which kinman pickups do you have? the 48's or the 60's?do you get the buzzing sound with the kinman pickups in higher gain level? thanks

  • In this guitar, I have the AVn 60's Custom set. I also have an Esquire with an AVn 48. These pickups are dead freakin quiet - it's unbelievable. Even at high gain. I'm going to make another video here soon, and demonstrate that as well. Not only are they the quietest I've heard, but they retain every bit of the single coil tone I'm after at the same time. They're expensive, but in this case - you definitely get what you pay for.

  • Great stuff. I've been thinking of toying with the BYOC kits myself. Nice playing and the Marshall 18 watt clone sounds awesome!

  • Thanks! BYOC rules.

  • specially looks like that while playing that open scales

  • I have to buy one those big spiders you have runing on the guitar's arm

  • Uhh... big spiders? Am I missing something? :)

  • your haaaaanddd;)))) looks like that

    great playing man ...for sure.

  • Laugh - sorry. I'm a little slow on the uptake I guess!

    Thanks!

  • Great playing with sweet tone...

  • DAMN YOU!! Everytime I see you play I think it's time for lessons again!!

  • I liked your sound better with it off... Great playing thanks for the clip.

  • omg my guitar will never sound liek that :*(

    but great work

  • Great sounds and playing bro!

  • Thanks man!

  • Would you let me know which Kinman PU you have on your guitar ?

  • To be honest - I don't even remember! I think they're the 'Broadcaster' or something like that.

  • that's a sweet combination. did you buy the amp complete or did you get a kit? i'm jonesing for an 18watt clone but don't know who to go with. I wouldn't mind building it myself with kit parts rather than buying one complete.

  • When I found this amp chassis, my intent was to build as well. But, for the money it cost me on ebay, it just didn't make sense to buy a kit and assemble it myself. After all, I like playing through amps just as much as I like screwing with them... :) I've had this amp for almost a year, and it's served all my purposes, and left me wanting nothing. This coming from a 100 watt head with a 4x12 cabinet... this thing is a monster. Obviously not as loud, but loud enough... and the TONE!!

  • Loved the playing and the sounds. We also use Kinmans in our white MIJ Strat.Check them out. I have a 50th Anniversary Tele which sounds great but I must say yours may be more impressive. Andre the bass player

  • Thanks! Love the Kinmans!

  • kinman pickups yeah, there so much better i have a mexican strat and im replacing my pickups with traditional mk-2 i will be showing a comparison video in the next 2 days.. you tell me which one sounds better.

  • i've been thinking of buying some kinman pickup for my tele... how noiseless are we talking here? and does it change you guitar sound a lot?

  • I love these pickups. Usually noiseless pickups leave something to be desired... but I have to say, these have all the single coil character I want in a pickup, and they're quieter than humbuckers. HIGHLY recommended!!

  • Great to see the BYOC Twin demoed

  • Nice string bends, and Jeff Beck to boot! Did you reverse the stock control plate or install a custom model? Chords at 3:25 are unreal. Good job.

  • The control plate is just flipped around, with the volume control up front. Thanks for the comments!

  • The reason you think it sounds more like an octavia is because it is one, at least according to the web site. After seeing this I think I'll just have to build one.

  • I love your playing sounds very great. For how long do you play the guitar?

  • Longer than I should admit. :)

  • Man, you rock.

So nice to see your videos, keep posting please;)

  • nice sound and nice playing!

  • Great funky playing my friend !
