Ok now, Anderson Silva vs Buakaw, make it happen! In a straight Muay Thai fight, Buakaw would absolutely wreak havoc but in an MMA fight? I gotta favor the "spider" Silva all day. It would be a sick match up though, in the octagon or a ring.

@zeon777us I agree. But the reason why i would like to see Anderson Silva vs Buakaw is because Anderson is a great striker himself. He would keep the fight standing. That is the way he fight. He rarely if ever, shoots in for takedowns.

@zeon777us Can a pure standup fighter opt out of grappling?  i.e Overeem vs Werdum, Strikeforce. Let's not forget that in Muay Thai, there is such a thing called clinching, it is what MMA refers to dirty boxing. I think a BJJ Blue Belt can take out a seasoned Muay Thai fighter if he lure him into grappling. Cheers.

@dubpizi777 Most of time even a BJJ white belt can take any standup guy easy, in the event of the standup guy never received any proper training how to defend grapplers.

thats incredible power for his weight,great leg techs.The only bad thing about buakaw is he continually throws single kicks and doesnt set up with the hands.Had he stopped doing those things hed be K1 MAX champ as long as he wants

Suchart is a man's man. Best trainer ever! Baukaw is one of the best in the world today, by far! Thai training is very hard. I hold black belts in TKD, HapKiDo & Arnis, but have trained Muy Thai kicks for the last 8 years because they are so much more powerful, & now my leg is as hard as a baseball bat, but before that, Baukaw's kicks would have snapped my leg. Muy Thai makes your body armor. There is nothing like it.

Lol to all the people trash talking my ajahn suchart,calling him "old man" and saying he's "scared"..He was the champion of northern thailand,has trained MANY MANY champions (there's a wall full of their pictures as soon as you walk in the school) and is and always was at the forefront of muay thai In Canada.Not to mention he does this on a daily basis all day along with 10k runs+1000 pushups+1000 situps STRAIGHT...This "old man" would fuck you up ;)

@ProStringsify I'm saying a day.If you go in the weights room there are tables scrawled on the wall with names.Next to each name is the amount of pushups/situps/kms run that day..It's updated every time I go.Plus you see him doing it by himself.Isn't like it's something you just hear about,or something he tells you to do..HE DOES IT HIMSELF."I don't ask or expect my students to do anything I can't myself"

Are you kidding? That is Ajahn Suchart, one of the best Muay Thai trainer in world! That day he went challenge coupla young guys for push up, just for fun. He did over hundred without breaking a sweat, and that was between holding pads for rounds and rounds for an hour! I just wish I have half his cardio when I was 50! He is one of the toughest man I seen.
