For someone who has never played GW1 ever how long do you think getting 6 points would take. Allso any tips on how i can do it without leveling max or spending to much time im sorta looking for a way to rush it.
@Washiolka664 well you get 3 right up with linking accounts, other 3 can be gotten by finishing factions, and taming 1 of the pets. take you a weekend at most :P
@valoraz I read online and found out that through end game pvp you can attain vanity armour so im gonna do that instead. But thanks for the help anyways :D
@njszoke Yes, you can sell previously dedicated miniatures. Once a miniature has been dedicated to your Hall of Monuments, it can never be undedicated and the points you have gained can not be lost. As a result, you can safely sell these dedicated miniatures if you so wish; be aware, however, that you will need to clearly state this in the chat when selling it and expect the miniature to sell for a lower price. I hope I helped you out. Have a great day!
really, thx dude, now, after 3 years of playing { ye, i know, long } i can finally get most of titles, it's sad, becuse i didn't get them yet, peace bro
@Slomoshun09 It talkes quite a while especially if you don't know how to play that well or don't have enough skills. Getting 30 points also takes quite some money so you have to know how to farm. This means you have to learn how to farm and this isn't always easy.
@kirekk1a I would roll and elementalist in the prophecies campaign. Makes it easier to get the protector of Tyria because you won't need a run to the beginning instances. Also is easier on the pocket for the elite armor to a certain degree. There will still be a couple armor sets namely Obsidian and Kurzick/Luxon armor sets because of globs of ecto/obsidian shards and amber/jade which are quite expensive. Hope that helps some..
@TubeElephant : Do you think I can manage at least 20 points before release of gw2 (I know the release date is not set yet but they won't release it within a week after announce)? I just found this video but wanna try if you think I can manage it. The time at work days I have is 6 hours at most, weekends is from when I wake up to I need to sleep :P
@SerraxGaming GW2 is gonna be released this year so you've got a couple of months maybe 5 or 6 i hope so yeh you could just farm some ectos and z keys and get all the minis and heros quickly. If you've already played the game you'll know what I'm talking about and you'll also have some titles already from the campaigns.
Excellent guide! I've played GW for many years and this is the best guide I've seen on the subject. Not that I needed it, but it's a great community contribution, thanks!! And yes, it's worth it. ;)
Just got 30 points i HoM using this guide. I had the game but bought Eye of the north. I started a fresh character and i dont really have any experiance with the game. But it took me 130 hours to get EVERYTHING done. A hint to anyone trying is to use death leveling to level you pets to lvl 20 otherwise it can be a pain. took me 30 min to get all 3 pets to lvl 20. Anyway thank you for your guide it really helped.
Also I will make one correction - you say in the description buying sets is cheaper for elementalists because they don't need to get the helms, but no class needs to buy the helms of the sets to put them in their HoM. "Only the four body armor pieces are required to dedicate a set, even if there is a headpiece available for it." - GWW
@moyga Depends on which campaign you start from. I think ritualist is the strongest one -factions campaign-. Play with SoS build. It's an easy build, even a noob can play with that, and it's kinda overpowered.
Casters are overall stronger than melee in gw1. -because of lots of blindness=90% miss to hit for melee-
Awesome video as always! You might consider adding a text note to inform the viewers that the head gear item is not necessary to dedicate the elite armour set in Hall of Monuments.
i didnt enjoy the first one at all, to be honest i thought they were just "another generic MMO'' but when i saw that manifesto video.................... not only did i conform but, it tickled my little heart as though i was a little boy
Finally, a useful guide on this topic. I've found that other Hall of Monuments guides don't explain each individual accomplishment well enough. Good job @TubeElephant
@JitbTV He's been doing a Let's Play of Guild Wars to have something to put up, and previously he said he'd make a guide on how to get thirty points in the Hall of Monuments. This is important, because getting points in it will give you items for Guild Wars 2.
in todal from start of the game to the end how many hrs. did it take you =o? and how long would it take for someone like me who has no friends and has to solo xD?
the items from guildwars 1 for HoM will be good for the first few levels or more but they will not end up being used end game they are just nice little things to have at the start but anet have said that you can drop items of the same skins and stats around the place aswell so they are just basicly starting stuff apart from the titles and the pets but you can always go back to gw1 when gw2 is out and do it aswell as anet have said you can go back and still do them seems guildwars wont go down
pretty good guide, and that's how you do it - see what's the easiest and go for it.To me it's kind of stupid that 80% of the points have to be accumulated with gold and 5 maxed titles are worth the same points as 10 miniatures, but what are you gonna do.
@Yellowtoxin srsly if u don't like it, don't even bother with this guide. This guide is awesome but its going to take a LONG time to do everything there. I've been playing gw1 for almost 3 years (quit 1.5 years ago) and I only have 30 points. Its very difficult and time consuming to do. If you have gw1 already, it might be worth while to get about 10 points just by doing the easy stuff.
@Yellowtoxin honestly it is questionable. i have made it too 30 points but i already have all the games, and have played guild of wars for a few years. for me, it was tedious at best. if you don't like the first one's gameplay i think it won't be worth it. the overall game-time you'll spend is probably around 30 hours in game. if that doesn't sound worth it, than you have your answer.
